Christmas holidays We hope you’re all looking forward to the holiday and it will be a time for you to rest and recuperate! Whilst we hope it’s a positive time for students, we also know it can be a challenging time for many of them. The Digital Healthy Schools site is available for young people at all hours over the holidays. It might just enable them to find some help and support if they’re having a difficult time. So, now is the perfect time to remind your students that the site is there. If you have any questions or you haven’t set your site up yet, get in touch via info@digitalhealthyschools.co.uk

App spotlight - Meetoo Meetoo for students It’s not always a holly jolly. If you or someone you love is struggling during the holiday season, download the MeeToo app and talk with other people who understand and can help. MeeToo is free, safe and anonymous so young people can get the support they need, when and where they need it Sometimes it is difficult for young people to talk about what’s bothering them with friends, parents or teachers. Whether it’s a diagnosed condition or broader spectrum anxieties such as selfesteem, loneliness, school stress or friendship issues, young people need a safe, anonymous space where they can open-up and get support. The MeeToo app helps young people open-up and talk about what they’re going through and get support from other young people. Every post and reply is moderated by humans so that it is safe and age-appropriate. Already used by more than 55,000 young people across the UK, MeeToo is available for free from the Digital Healthy Schools app library – why not tell your students about it today.

App spotlight - Meetoo Meetoo for staff

It’s not only students who need support. Staff are at the core of student support but need help too. Much is expected from them and the hours they work are long. We’ve introduced MeeToo Connect, a peer support app specifically for staff, where they can talk about what they’re experiencing and get support from other educational professionals. MeeToo Connect app for staff Staff break. If you or someone you work with is feeling overwhelmed during the holiday season, download MeeToo Connect and share your concerns with other professionals who’ve been there and can help. MeeToo Connect is for staff it’s free, safe and anonymous and supports your well-being at work and at home. You can find it and recommend it to friends and colleagues via your Digital Healthy Schools site.
