As a past student of the Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy, I’m really excited to be back in the classroom as the Graphics Communications Instructor In addition to having a Bachelors of Science in Computer Graphics and Interactive Media, I have over ten years of experience in the field as a Professional Wedding / Portrait Photographer (Orange Anchor Photography - www.orangeanchor.photo), and a Freelance Graphic Designer. The skills and education I acquired as a student of the Academy years ago were the stepping stones and confidence boost that I needed to build a successful, fulfilling career. My love for teaching began years ago when I organized and taught classes locally for area 4-H groups, as well as in Seattle, Washington where I was a guest speaker for various social groups, educating both children and adults on camera functions, color theory, and basic photoshop techniques My hope and ultimate goal is to be that little nudge that motivates a young person’s aspirations and dreams

Besides an educator, photographer, designer, creative guru - WHO AM I? I’m a dog mom to Finn, cat mom to Kevin and Annie, and wifey to Shawn. (who you'll hear me talk about often!) I liked tacos before they were a thing, and am an advocate of afternoon naps. I love the outdoors and gearing up in my blaze orange every fall for Deer Hunting (you'll have a sub opening day, sorry) and I believe that getting your hands dirty is good for the soul
