DON'T BE A SLOB

Students are expected to have respect for the classroom and supplies. DO NOT BE WASTEFUL. Clean up after yourself (Ms. Cole isn't your Mama) -- Paint brushes and pallets must be rinsed and put away after each use, wipe down sink and art table, check floor for messes or scraps, etc. Get something out, put it back where you found it when you're done.

Keep Out

Do not rummage through Ms. Cole's or your classmates spaces (cabinets behind the instructors desk are off limits) & HANDS OFF OF ARTWORK THAT YOU DID NOT CREATE! THIS INCLUDES SNOOPING AROUND IN CLASSMATES FOLDERS ON THE Z DRIVE. I will not tolerate stealing or sabotaging in my classroom!

Cell Phone Policy

Students are expected to have their cell phones silenced at the start of each class session. Cell phones serve as a useful tool in society, but can often be a distraction to the learning process. There will be limited times that students are allowed to use their phones for music, research, etc., but this will be clearly stated at that time.

Assignments And Late Work Policy

For every day that an assignment is late, 5 points will be taken off. LATE WORK FOR QUARTER PROJECTS AND/OR FINALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

It is the students responsibility to communicate if their work will be late and when it will be turned in. The instructor may issue reminders, but ultimately it is the students responsibility to listen in class, read the calendar, and keep track of their responsibilities. Students are expected to make arrangements in advance if they know they will be absent when an assignment, project, or final is due.

Academic Dishonesty

Dishonesty (cheating, plagiarism, etc.) in class and/or on assigned work will result in total loss of credit for the class or assignment. Dishonesty in general is frowned upon. This class wants to see and hear your own unique ideas.
