Protecting the Porsche
Apart from the beautiful lines of a Porsche, the other immediate eye-catching feature is its superb paintwork – no matter the colour.
Porsche Centre Brighton now offers a paint protection service to keep the paintwork of your new Porsche looking as good in years to come as it does when new. This new paint protection film offers a lasting defence against day-to-day assaults from our increasingly harsh climate, rain pollutants, dust, and wear and tear. Once applied to the surface it becomes self-healing with excellent scratch and stone chip resistance, protects against harmful ultraviolet rays, is long-lasting with outstanding resistance to stains and discolouration, and provides a high-gloss finish.
John Nielsen had just purchased his new Volcano Grey Porsche Macan GTS from Porsche Centre Brighton and asked about paint protection when he was there. 'I’m a huge fan of it,' Mr Nielsen says. 'I had it done before I took delivery of the car. I look at my car now after a wash, and it has a much better shine. You can see that it’s been properly looked after.' Mr Nielsen sees it as a small additional cost to have the comfort of knowing that the car’s paint will always look as good as new, which will also be a benefit when it comes to reselling the vehicle.
Keeping the paint in tip-top condition can’t be left up to chance, with paint protection the first step in ensuring it stays that way. The second important step is ensuring it's properly cleaned. As Mr Nielsen points out, many of the drive-through car washes damage paint, just as do many of the hand washes around as they aren't experienced car detailers. Using these will often do more damage to a car’s paint than is apparent, since they frequently use dirty water or washing equipment.
This is good reason to get your car detailed at Porsche Centre Brighton. Ollie Broda has 10 years of experience and training, knowing exactly how to care for a Porsche’s paint whether it has paint protection or not. •
