Sponsorships and csi “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”

Winston Churchill

Imam Abdullah Haron Education Trust Golf Day The Imam Abdullah Haron Education Trust (IAHET) is a public benefit organisation which provides financial support for early childhood development programmes, mathematics and science tuition, and a bursary programme for tertiary education. They hosted a golf day on 11 April at the Royal Cape Golf Club in Wynberg. Mazars Cape Town sponsored the putting area and halfway house. Mazars Durban collected Easter eggs for the children of St Theresa’s Children’s Home.

DF Malan Golf day Upon request of Hymie Swanepoel, Mazars Cape Town sponsored a hole and a 4-ball at the annual DF Malan Golf day on 15 March.

Mazars Port Elizabeth held an Easter Egg drive and delivered Easter Eggs to the SOS Children’s Village and the EP Children’s home.

Old Age Home – Giving back

WCAPD Fundraiser The Western Cape Association for Disabled Persons (WCADP) hosted their first fundraiser of 2018 at Durbanville Golf Course. Mazars Cape Town sponsored a four ball. Larry Auret and Mike Teuchert invited two of their clients to participate in a four ball. Mazars George held an Easter Egg Drive in support of the Môreson ACVV Kinder en Jeugsorg Sentrum.

On 12 January, Mazars Port Elizabeth received a message from the neighbourhood watch group that the old age home in Morningside was burning. One side of the building burnt and had water damage. The elderly couldn’t go back into living in the house until it was declared safe for them (which took a while). A lady from Morningside took the elderly into her home until they could go back to the home (it was a few weeks). The community came together with meals and goods for the home. The staff at Mazars also collected goods for the elderly. When it was delivered the owners were very thankful for the goods.

Friends Of Valkenberg Mazars Cape Town sponsored the Friends of Valkenberg’s golf day in February with prizes for the 4 ball winners. The following Mazars promotion items were sponsored: a red recycled bag, a pen (general), a cap, a cellphone card holder, an A5 notebook and a surfside waterbottle. Mazars George staff supported International Firefighters Day on 4 May.
