Whoever said that when the sun goes down that your skiing and boarding has to stop? Not so at Perisher! On Tuesday and Saturday nights, enjoy some extra turns on the floodlit slope of Front Valley. Ride the Village 8 Express chairlift from 6:00 – 9:00pm, Tuesdays and Saturdays in July/August and Tuesdays only in September. While kids can ski free with any valid Lift Ticket for the day, parents are able to join the kids on the slope or relax for some après drinks in JAX Bar & Chargrill while keeping an eye on those with limitless energy.

First Timer tickets include your Lift Ticket and a daily 2.5 hour lesson program tailored to the needs of those who have never been skiing or boarding before. Discovery Kids – 3 and 4 years
The Snow Discovery Centre houses Snowy Daycare, as well as the Discovery Program. By combining the facilities of the Daycare and the Discovery Kids Program, we are able to provide the best opportunity for your young ones to be safe and have fun so they are more open to learning new skills and meeting new challenges.
This ski and care program combines an age appropriate mix of skiing time with games and other activities. This is a fun, no pressure introduction to the sport of skiing with specially trained instructors and indoor care staff. Smaller class sizes will ensure progress and personal attention.
Snowy Daycare – 6 weeks to 4 years Our specially trained staff will care for your little ones while you enjoy your day on the slopes! Throughout the day your child will enjoy a wide range of activities including art and craft, story time, music and free play.

Kids Snowsports School programs continued... Adventure Kids – 5 to 7 years
Private Lessons
Having fun - that’s what our Adventure Kids ski program is all about. In Australia’s largest, family friendly resort, there is no time to be bored. Whatever your child’s ability, this age appropriate ski program caters for all levels, from an introduction to skiing to the experienced. Our instructors are certified professionals who make your child’s desires their main priority. Join the adventure!
Penguin Private – 3 to 4 years A one-on-one private lesson for the littlest of skiers; no additional people can be added. 1 hour.
Explorer Kids – 8 to 14 years This popular full day program is offered to children of all ability levels and kids can choose between skiing, boarding or both. A fun-filled program with an emphasis on technical skills, this can be a day or week of mountain exploration. Ski programs available at Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes. Board programs available at Perisher Valley from 26 June to 29 August.
Kids Group Lesson Packages – 5 to 14 years As an alternative to the all day programs, our 2.5 hour group lesson packages are also available for the 5 to 14 years age group. Lessons are held at 9:30am and 12:30pm at Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes and 10:30am at Blue Cow. During a Mum & Me private lesson, our instructors teach your child while giving you tips (mum or dad welcome) on how to develop your child’s skills. 1 hour. Adventure Kids Snowboard Private Lessons Is your young one keen to learn to board? Qualified instructors provide instruction for young riders aged 5 to 7 years on a one-on-one basis. ALPINE RESPONSIBILITY CODE Regardless of how you enjoy your snow sport, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are inherent risks in all snow recreational activities that common sense, protective equipment and personal awareness can reduce. These risks include rapid changes in the weather, visibility and surface conditions, as well as natural and artificial hazards such as rocks, trees, stumps, vehicles, lift towers, snow fences and snowmaking equipment.
Observe the code and share with others the responsibility for a great experience. 1. Know your ability and always stay in control and be able to stop and avoid other people or objects. It is your responsibility to stay in control on the ground and in the air. 2. T ake lessons from professional instructors to learn and progress. 3. Use appropriate protective equipment to minimise the risk of injury. 4. B efore using any lift you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely and always use the restraining devices. 5. O bserve and obey all signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails or runs. 6. Give way to people below and beside you on the hill. It is your responsibility to avoid them. 7. D o not stop where you are not clearly visible from above. Look uphill and give way to others when entering/exiting a trail or starting downhill. 8. A lways ensure your equipment is in good condition and use suitable restraining devices to avoid runaway skiing/boarding equipment. 9. D o not ski, board, ride a lift or undertake any other alpine activity if your ability is impaired by drugs or alcohol. 10. I f you are involved in, or witness an accident or collision, alert Ski Patrol, remain at the scene and identify yourself to the Ski Patrol.

How to get here, resort transport and parking Distance: Jindabyne to Perisher: 33km Jindabyne to Skitube at Bullocks Flat: 20km
Canberra Airport Only a 2.5 hour drive from Perisher and a 40-minute flight from Sydney or a 65-minute flight from Melbourne. Regular connections are available to and from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Adelaide and Perth via Qantas, Virgin Blue, Tiger and Brindabella Airlines. For airport transfers to and from the Snowy Mountains, call 1300 655 811.
Travel by Road Perisher is a comfortable 5.5 to 6 hour drive from Sydney, 2.5 hours from Canberra and 7 hours from Melbourne. From Jindabyne it takes just 30 minutes to drive to the resort. Exit the township taking Kosciuszko Road following the signed route to the resort. Please note that all 2WD vehicles are legally required to carry properly-fitting chains when driving to Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes and Guthega. Entry to the National Park is $27 per day. Annual passes are $190, National Park Entry Fees are included in Skitube prices. Overnight parking at Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes and Guthega is limited to a few accommodation properties only. We recommend using Skitube Alpine Railway from Bullocks Flat where there is free overnight parking. Take the Alpine Way, turning left at the Shell service station upon exiting Jindabyne and follow the road until you see the Skitube sign (approximately 20km).

To Canberra Countrylink, Greyhound and Murray’s offer regular services to Canberra from major capital cities and metropolitan centres. Mountain Bases and Parking Once in Perisher, you have a choice of 5 fullyserviced mountain base locations from which to begin your day’s skiing or boarding. Perisher Valley is the major entry point of Perisher and is accessible by car (free day parking) or by the Skitube Alpine Railway from Bullocks Flat. The Perisher Centre, located at the base of Front Valley, is the ‘hub’ of Perisher and offers a wide range of services including a Snowsports School office, Slopestyle Mountain Sports and other retail stores, Snowsports Hire, Snowy Daycare Centre, Snow Discovery Centre, Guest Services, Lift Ticket sales and locker hire. You can also find restaurants, cafés, bars, takeaway food outlets, a chemist, clothing outlets, mountain photography shop, a jewellery store, an ATM and the luxurious Perisher Valley Hotel. In the Perisher Valley Skitube Terminal you will find Lift Ticket sales, Post Office, lockers, oversnow transport, a clothing and accessory store, souvenirs, donut shop, café and restaurant. Smiggin Holes is also accessible by car and offers free day parking. Smiggin Holes offers facilities including a Snowsports School office, Lift Ticket sales, Guest Services, bars, restaurants, cafés, take-away food outlets, Snowports Hire and ski accessories, souvenirs and a photo shop. Guthega is also accessible by car and has free day parking. Guthega’s facilities include Lift Ticket sales, Snowsports Hire, accessory shop, bistro and the popular Guthega Alpine Inn.
Blue Cow is a day resort and is only accessible via Skitube from Perisher Valley or Bullocks Flat. Facilities include Snowsports School office, Snowsports Hire, locker hire, bistro, bar, alfresco dining, accessory and gift shop, café, souvenirs and a photo shop. Bullocks Flat is the location of the base terminal for the Skitube. FREE day, overnight and long-term parking is available with access into the resort via Skitube. Facilities include Snowsports School office, Lift Ticket sales, Snowsports Hire, Ski and Board Tuning Shop, Guest Services, accessory and gift shop and a take-away kiosk.
On-mountain Transport Options FREE Shuttle Service A FREE shuttle service operates between Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes every 15 minutes from 7:30am to 6:00pm and until 9.30pm on Tuesday and on Saturday nights for night skiing and snowboarding nights. Pick-ups are from the turning circle at Perisher Skitube Terminal and the metal bridge outside Smiggins Hotel at Smiggin Holes. Oversnow Transport Hans Oversnow offers a transport service to all accommodation properties in Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes. Some properties offer their own services. Additional charges apply after midnight. Call 02 6457 5334 or 0418 485 144, 24 hours a day. Bookings are essential for very late arrivals. Ski Rider Shuttle Bus Ski Rider operates a free shuttle service for their guests only between Ski Rider (at Wilson’s Valley) to the bus shelters at Smiggin Holes and Perisher Valley.
