Family, I am excited to present to you our 2016 edition of “ONYX Women on the Move”. This issue celebrates the most influential and impactful women in the great state of Florida who are making a difference in the lives of women and children, homeless, education, business and the arts. Highlighted in this edition are three of Florida’s Government officials including Congresswomen Corrine Brown, 5th District; Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, 24th District and Senator Arthenia Joyner, 19th District. We are honored to showcase the first female presidents Dr. Elvira Mangum, President of Florida A&M University and Dr. Roslyn Artis, President of Florida Memorial University. It is a pleasure to present Dean Leticia Diaz, Dean and Professor of Law at Barry University. We are excited to feature the Ultimate Southern Belle, Attorney and TV Personality Phaedra Parks. I would like to introduce to you two of our newest team members, Ms. Towanna Hogue of Atlanta, Associate Managing Editor/Production Manager and Ms. Gwen Belton of Miami, Associate Editor of South Florida.
