Ontonix

Established originally in 2005 in the USA, Ontonix is a technology company and think tank headquartered in Como, Italy. The unusual technology developed by Ontonix focuses on countering what most threatens safety, advanced products, critical infrastructures, or IT network security - the rapid growth of complexity. Since highly complex systems are fragile and may function close to collapse, it is paramount to diagnose and manage their complexity. What makes Ontonix different from all those companies and research centers who claim to manage complexity is that we have a complexity metric. This means that we MEASURE complexity. Complexity management without measuring it is mere marketing, or pop science at best. Ontonix derives from 'ontology', the philosophical study of the nature of being, becoming, existence, or reality. When treating really complex systems, QCM allows us to tackle problems with hundreds of thousands of variables.
