Aashna’sStory: From‘Let’sGetUncomfortable’ tobuildinganemergent embodiedintersectional learningcommunity

Workshop Details

In this workshop presentation we will discuss Aashna’s experience of living the following questions:

• How can we co create a sense of psycho spiritual home for therapists and clients from intersectional identities?

• How can we creatively query and queer existing power structures within our everyday practices?

• How can we create a therapeutic service that holds intersectional identities and social justice at its heart?

• How can we live the vision that individual psychotherapy needs to be held by a community and can no longer be separate from the urgent need for social change?

In true Aashna style, we invite you to take your shoes off, prepare your chai and join the intimate collaborative conversation.

Hi, I’m Pretish (Pre-tesh)

I am a qualified & accredited relational Integrative psychotherapist and supervisor. In September 2017 I co-founded Aashna Counselling & Psychotherapy with a hope to create a space that not only reflected the rich intersectionality of human beings, but a spiritual home for difference and social political change.

I am also one of the founders of Aashna+ , a social justice project offering long term psychotherapy to marginalised identities who normally struggle therapeutic support.

I look forward to joining you for this important and vital conference.
