About the project In 2015 ACBA CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK and Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU) signed a cooperation agreement launching the partnership of two organizations. The kick-off of the Organic agriculture development project was announced during the same year. In the framework of the project ACBA CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK and NABU Armenia support Armenian farmers, who want to start producing organic agricultural products. During the whole stage of the organic certification farmers and small and medium enterprises are supported by ACBA CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK and NABU who completely cover all the expenses. The program beneficiaries are also provided with consultation, as well as assistance during the export stage. Starting from 2015 more than 30 SMEs and farmers have received organic certification with the support of ACBA CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK and NABU.

“Darman” was founded in 2014 in Tavush region. In 2018 the company received certificate of an Organic food producer meeting the standards of EU and Armenia. Currently it produces BIO herbal tea. Collection of the herbal tea is carried out mainly in the mountainous areas up to 3000 meters above the sea level.

“Mountain tea” produces organic herbal tea. The company was founded in 2005 in Goris, Syunik. Currently, the company produces six types of herbal tea. Besides thyme, mint and rose hip mono teas, the company also produces combinations of thyme and blackberry leaves, as well as mountain herbs and pomegranate.

“Armberry” was founded in 2015, and from its establishment the company aimed at becoming the biggest company in Armenia to produce organic berries. In 2016 “Armberry” launched the land certification process with the support of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK and NABU. At the beginning of 2018 the company received an Organic food producer’s certificate meeting EU standards.

ORGANIC PRODUCTION STORE In 2018 a unique BIO store located in the center of Yerevan. Here, only organic food is sold. The operation of such a store in Yerevan is very important from the point of view of informing the society about organic agriculture and propagating the consumption of organic food in the people’s lives. The store was launched by “Agrolog” company founders. It presents the products of most of the beneficiaries of the “Organic agriculture development” program implemented by ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK and NABU.
