Individuals, members of their family and guests shall comply in every respect with the laws of the State of Maine and ordinances of the town, including but not limited to all the rules and regulations of the Health Office, Police Department and Fire Department.

Individuals shall ensure that no person, other than established service people, be permitted on a individual’s lot during their absences without the express permission of the individual and the prior notification of management. Further, management reserves the right to approve service people doing work in the park.

The boarding of individuals or the renting of rooms will not be permitted. Further, no subletting, assignment of rental agreement or other similar arrangements are allowed without the prior consent of management.

Repeated violation of the park rules may be grounds for termination of a seasonal rental agreement. You will receive a verbal warning, written warning and then eviction. Guests are people who visit or stay a few

No aggressive dogs will be allowed. Pets must be registered in the office, and rabies certificate must be presented.

Pets must be on a leash at ALL times (including on your site) and never left unattended. Leash is to be no longer than one foot from end of site.

Dogs are not allowed at the pools, playgrounds, pond area, or in buildings.

Please do not allow your pet to cause noise that may disturb other campers.

Children under the age of fifteen are not permitted around the pond unless accompanied by a parent or responsible adult and pets are to be kept out of the pond area.

days. Any tenant contemplating on having a guest stay more than three (3) days must notify management. Guests do not become permanent individuals unless by written approval of management.

No firearms, B.B. guns, bow and arrows, slingshots, air guns, tazer guns, stun guns, and knives or any other types of weapons may be fired or carried about inside the park property.

Fireworks are banned in the park, except sparklers, which must be used under adult supervision.

Pinehirst is a family campground. Please conduct yourself accordingly.

Quiet time is 10 pm to 8 am. Campers are asked to refrain from any loud disturbances or crowd gatherings during this period. Any block parties must have prior approval from the office.

Any individual, who willfully or negligently defaces, injures or destroys any of our property or equipment will be held liable for the full value or replacement cost thereof, whichever is greater. Violations may result in suspension or cancellation of your rental agreement.

Any guest who brings a pet must also register the animal, bring rabies certificate, have on leash at all times and have the proper equipment to clean up after it and dispose of in a proper place.

No dog pens are allowed on sites. Dogs must be walked/supervised by a responsible adult. Children under 13 are not permitted to walk dogs around the park.

If your pet becomes a problem for Pinehirst Staff or other patrons, it will no longer be permitted in the campground.

Fishing at the pond is permitted on a CATCH AND RELEASE basis, and barbless hooks shall be used for this purpose.

There is no swimming or boating in the pond.

GOLF CARTS, BICYCLES AND BASKETBALL COURTS

All golf carts must be registered with the office, and the owner’s site number must be conspicuously displayed on both the front and rear of the golf cart with 3-inch numbers and carry the sufficient amounts of proper insurance. Only one golf cart permitted per site. If the numbers are not displayed, the office reserves the right to place them on the cart and charge the individual a fee of $35.

Registration of golf carts and new stickers placed on the golf cart must be done yearly. Golf carts are not to be used until they are registered and stickers and numbers are placed on them. Anyone purchasing a new or used golf cart must have prior consent from management. Anyone failing to register a golf cart will lose privilege of golf cart and will have to remove cart within 7 days of notice. If it is not removed, the park reserves the right to remove it. All golf carts must be in good working condition.

The campground will not tolerate abusive or disruptive behavior whether directed at management, staff or other persons. Minors must be on their site and/or under adult supervision by 10 pm. No more than 4 visiting children are allowed on your site after 10 pm. It is the responsibility of the seasonal to accompany visiting children back to their site when they leave. If your child is returning on the trolley at or after 10 pm, a parent needs to meet them at the front gate and walk them back to their site. Underage drinking is not allowed on your site or anywhere in the campground. If these policies are repeatedly violated, parents will be charged a $50 violation fee for each incident. Continued violations can/will get the seasonal evicted from the park. Parents will be held responsible for actions of their child/children. So please make sure they are well supervised and know the rules.

Playground hours are 8 am to dusk. Fires must be allowed to burn down starting at 11 pm and be extinguished by midnight.

Campers use recreational facilities at their

own risk. Please use care in the activities you select, and share the facilities with others. Children 18 and under are not allowed in the gym.

A parent or responsible adult should accompany younger children to the pool area. All pools will be closed at dusk. No child/children under the age of 18 are allowed in the pool or hot tubs. No water balloons are allowed at the pool area and no oversized flotation devices. There will be no smoking at any of the pools. There will be a smoking area provided in the area. Consumption of alcoholic beverages in the privacy of one’s site is a personal matter. However, public consumption of alcohol is discouraged, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol is grounds for termination of seasonal privileges. This does include golf carts. No peddling, soliciting and commercial enterprises are permitted in the park except when specifically authorized by management.

When walking around the park after dark, please use a flashlight for your own safety. Respect the privacy of others and do not cut through or across other sites.

AUTOMOBILE AND TRAFFIC SAFETY STANDARDS

The use of vehicles for travel within the park is discouraged. Only passenger cars with good muffler systems and in good repair and appearance shall be kept in the park. Individuals shall not drive their cars in excess of 7 MPH on any road in the park. Vehicles must follow road signs pertaining to one ways, stop signs, and parking signs. If individual has repeated violations, he or she will loose the privilege of driving in park and have to park at the office while here. Repeated instances of warnings for speeding may be grounds for eviction. For the safety of all, pleased observe posted speeds. Individuals, members of their family or guests shall not leave

any motor vehicle unattended in the traveled part of the roadway or on any other site at any time. This does include empty sites. Repeated violations of parking in empty sites will cause your vehicle to be towed out of park. Motorcycles must have quiet mufflers and must observe strictly all posted speed limits.

Individuals, members of their family or guests shall not drive an automobile in the park if unlicensed, even if accompanied by a licensed driver.

Individuals shall not repair or overhaul or paint any vehicles or automobiles (except for minor tune-ups) in the park.

Individuals shall not keep any unregistered automobiles in the

Golf carts may only be operated by licensed drivers, and drivers must observe all rules applicable to motor vehicles. In addition, no more than four (4) people may ride in or on a golf cart or reasonable amount safely at any one time and then, only if the cart is designed and arranged so that all passengers may be seated. Teenage drivers must carry a license when driving cart. No golf cart may be operated within the park after 10 pm unless with prior approval of management. Further, no golf cart may be operated one-half hour after sunset, unless equipped with adequate lighting.

Individuals shall not park any motor homes, utility trailer, travel trailer campers, or similar items on their lots for more than ten (10) days: and in any event, these shall be parked to the rear out of sight from roadways. Boats and/or trailers will need to be parked on your site for the season.

Trucks larger than a pick-up or van may not be left in the park overnight unless they are used for authorized construction or service within the park.

The riding of bicycles on Main Street between the Recreation building and the office is not permitted, and bicycles must either be walked or ridden via an alternate route. All people riding a bicycle at the age of twelve or under must be wearing a helmet. THIS IS A STATE LAW.

Bicycles that are left unattended at the recreation building, office, or pool area, shall be left in a location, which does not block pedestrian traffic or create a safety hazard. Bicycles may not be operated in the park later than one-half hour of sunset, and bicycles must observe the rules of the road and generally follow the rules which apply to motor vehicles. Parents are reminded of their responsibility for reviewing the bicycle safety rules with their child(ren).

No skateboards, inline skates, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), portable basketball courts, children’s motorized scooters, or motorized coolers are allowed/or to be stored/used in the park.
