www.oneontaathletics.com This fall Oneonta athletics unveiled the highly anticipated new athletics website. The Red Dragons teammed with Sidearm Sports, a web design company, to create the new page. Some of the new features include a live stats application where you can watch up to the minute stats of a game. Links to facebook and twitter, a visible youtube channel covering Inside Red Dragon Sports episodes, historic games, and highlighted events such as the recent 2010 Hall of Fame Induction, and a text messaging service where fans can subscribe to receive updates of current scores and posted stories to the web. The scrolling stories and upcoming events calander keeps everyone up to date with what is going on in Oneonta Athletics and the sleek new look keeps athletes, families, and friends coming back for more!

Oneonta Hosts 2010 NCAA Cross Country Atlantic Region Championships The Cross Country program hosted the 2010 NCAA Atlantic Region Championships on Saturday, November 13th. The weather cooperated with clear skies and unusually mild fall temperatures for November in Oneonta. There were over 600 competitors from 42 school’s and over 2,000 fans who made the visit to Fortin Park in the town of Oneonta. Oneonta native Nick Madison was the first Red Dragon to cross the line in 42nd Lauren Brunetto crosses the finish line. place leading the men’s team to a 16th place finish. Junior Lauren Brunetto led the Oneonta women to a 11th place finish. She crossed the line in 36th place with a time of 23:23. The post-race buzz was how great the course and weather were and that Oneonta put together an exciting event.

In its third year, the event was able to raise 19,000 dollars to help with team travel initiatives and facility enhancements.
