Aqua classes are fun and challenging Angela Watson has fibromyalgia, a condition that causes her all-over pain.
t ar S e r o M Move
The 51-year-old was looking for a low impact activity to help her lose weight, tone up, keep fit and help improve her pain. In January, she joined the Dolphin Centre’s SwimFit classes – low impact aerobics targeting all areas of the body in the water. She loved them so much, she has since joined the ‘A’ Hit classes – high intensity energy blasts using equipment such as dumbbells and leg weights to target specific parts of the body. Angela said: “Before the classes, I couldn’t swim well, had a fear of deep water and was in a lot of pain due to my condition. Both classes are welcoming, fun, varied, challenging and adapted to suit people’s abilities and goals. I have lost weight, feel fitter and more toned, my pain has eased vastly and I am so much more confident in and out of the water.”
