Mission On Broadway, Inc. promotes the Broadway District as Green Bay's cultural core for entrepreneurs, creatives, residents and visitors to engage and succeed in a welcoming environment.

Vision On Broadway, Inc. is the recognized leader for creatively building a sustainable, relevant, and thriving urban community.

Income generated through program operations is reinvested into the Broadway District to support design improvements, space activation, business support programs and capital projects. These investments make a more sustainable district that fosters additional public and private investment.


Design 20 new murals Vital Essentials Dog Park was Opened, activating an underused lot 26 ft holiday tree installed 2 sculptures created 42 tree boxes planted with pollinator plants 51 planter bowls filled with seasonal plants 70 trees wrapped with lights 200 bags of trash collected during cleanups Partnered with Downtown Green Bay, Inc. to retain an urban design firm Spring Clean Up Day included 175 volunteers


Diverse Business Assistance Grant Hired a Diverse Business Assistance Manager tasked with supporting minority-owned businesses in the Broadway District.

Planning diverse multicultural events for implementation in 2024.

Currently establishing partnerships for a planned retail incubator project in the Broadway District.

Focusing on inclusive integration, including translating Farmers’ Market applications into Hmong and Spanish.

The grant program makes available $300,000 in microgrants to be awarded to minority-owned businesses in the Broadway District.


Economic Vitality Welcomed 23 new businesses into the Broadway District. The Shipyard broke ground on phase one of construction. Site plan approved on Leicht Park project to build a pavilion and a stage for regular programming. The Fort at the Rail Yard resumed construction of 238 residential units and first floor retail space. Awarded $1 million grant to assist minority-owned businesses.

Nearly 1,000 residential units have been recently constructed or are under contract.


Green Bay Public Market More than a place to shop and eat, the Green Bay Public Market will offer visitors a place for new experiences. Boasting 45,000 sq. ft, the Market will include: 20 vendors Indoor and outdoor seating Community event space available for both public and private rental Raised 50% of capital campaign goal.

Design development plans are completed and construction documents are underway. Includes proposal for 286-stall podium parking and 90 residential units to be constructed above the parking structure.

Currently leasing available tenant spaces. Anticipated opening of March 2025.


The Shipyard The Shipyard is located on the western edge of the Fox River just north of the Mason Street Bridge. Phase one construction has begun and includes a riverfront promenade, floating docks, a fishing pier and a kayak launch.

Project Updates: Phase one is scheduled for a July 2024 completion. Phase two plans include public amenities like a great lawn, a dog park, an urban beach, and a playground. Construction is estimated to begin in August 2024.

Levitt AMP Green Bay Music Series This 10-week music series provides $50,000 in free music that includes both local and national artists to the community. The concerts are a collaboration of 27 local partners with the assistance of a 12-member committee and promoted by a 62-person Hype Team.

The Mini Boss on Broadway, part of the Farmers’ Market on Broadway, supported 24 up-and-coming young entrepreneurs.


Christkindlmarket In its second year, the Christkindlmarket proved to be bigger and better than the year before, spanning over 6 weekends. In addition, attendees enjoyed an enhanced shopping experience with the wooden chalets and increased programming including the ice rink, carolers, igloo rentals and more. 40,000 Attendees

Farmers’ Market on Broadway In 2023, the Market celebrated its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of supporting hundreds of small businesses and creating critical activation to the core of the Broadway District. 150+ unique annual vendors
