2026 RED BULL TENNESSEE KNOCKOUT DATES CONFIRMED

T

he 2026 Red Bull Tennessee Knockout (TKO) is confirmed for Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie, Tennessee. The sixteenth annual TKO will again be part of the AMA US Hard Enduro Championship series and serve as the final round.

TKO is the premier US Hard Enduro event and sells out the 500 amateur entries available each year. The format allows for different levels of riders to enjoy a challenging course that ramps up in difficulty throughout multiple rounds of racing. This allows less experienced riders to develop their skills and watch the best Hard Enduro riders in the world in the later rounds of racing.

The action will start on Friday with the amateur Hot Laps to set the Saturday starting positions.

Saturday will include two rounds of amateur racing that will allow up to thirty riders to earn the opportunity to race in the Sunday pro competition. The pro riders will kick off their weekend with a Hot Lap on Saturday afternoon. Sunday will include three rounds of pro class racing that concludes with a multi-lap main event that is spectacular for the fans.

TKO will include all the AMA US Hard Enduro Championship classes. That includes two eMoto classes for electric motorcycles

and there will be electric motorcycle demo rides to add to the fun weekend for racers and spectators.

Germany’s Mani Lettenbichler won the 2025 TKO over Canada’s Trystan Hart and the UK’s Billy Bolt. This was Lettenbichler’s third TKO win, matching Hart with three total wins. Cody Webb is the all-time TKO win leader with six.

Entries will open soon and more details for the event will be announced in the coming months.

2026 NATIONAL MOTOTRIALS DATES CONFIRMED

T

he 2026 NATC National Mototrials Championship schedule has been confirmed. Home to several years of US Hard Enduro championship events, as well as a staple on the STRA trials schedule, the opening round begins at the Kairos Resort in West Virginia. The series then travels out west to the Gateway to the Americas - San Ysidro, New Mexico. After a short break, the western rounds conclude with a trip to Howard, Colorado, culminating in the final round of the season in Toronto, Ohio, which is known to be brutal if it rains.

CODY BARNES REJOINS BETA RACING

L

iqui Moly Beta Racing is thrilled to announce the return of off-road standout Cody Barnes to its factory race team. Barnes has signed a two-year agreement and will make his full-time debut in the XC1 Pro class in the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series. He will also compete in the Pro1 class at the US Sprint Enduro series, which this year he finished runner-up in the top class.

Barnes, who previously rode for Beta in 2019 and 2020, rejoins the team after a stellar 2025 season in which he finished third overall in the GNCC series, with eleven podiums and two wins in the XC2 Pro class, with a second-place finish in class, only a few points off the win.

"I’m super excited to join the Beta family again!" said Barnes. "I enjoyed working with everyone at Beta when I last rode for them in 2019 and 2020, so when the opportunity came up, it felt right. I believe the program and the bike are a lot better than people think. I’m looking forward to proving the bike is capable of the highest level of off-road racing for the next two years!"

The team is equally enthusiastic about Barnes' return and his move up to the highly competitive XC1 class.

"To have Cody join the team is very exciting!" said Josh Strang, East Coast Race Team Manager. "He finished third overall in the GNCC series this year, and I saw him a lot on the track, as everyone did. I have been racing for years, so to be able to watch and race with Cody each weekend made my choice a lot easier; rather than just looking at the results on paper. 'Pulling the Mental Tearoff' at the Gobbler Getter Enduro WORDS PHOTOS

full year just yet though. First and foremost, we have to dig into the EPICNESS that was

the Gobbler Getter National Enduro. The weather was perfect, the dirt was prime, and the trails were technical and challenging. Damn it, dirt bikes are awesome.

FOCUSED INTENSITY Before loading up the motovan to head east toward Alabama, I made a post on Instagram talking about an intensity issue I wanted to work on at the Gobbler Getter Enduro. I have been getting faster as a rider, but due to that increase in speed, I have found myself over-riding to a point that I

would end up on the ground.

I noticed this weakness, and I stated it out loud to keep myself accountable, and let others be aware. I got two great reactions to this reel; one was Focused Intensity and the other was Controlled Aggression.

These two phrases resonated a lot with me, one more so than the other. Focused Intensity is about fine tuning toward the action you want, as if you were rotating the focus ring of a camera lens till the object pops into focus. While Controlled Aggression is about adding limitations to a behavior, as if you were to put a leash on a raging pit bull.

When it comes to finding a flow state, or firing on all cylinders, I believe one has to let it happen, you can’t make it happen. That’s why I

resonate more with the concept of Focused Intensity. I’m not going to ignore the fact that many other people would resonate with the concept of Controlled Aggression. You have to take these concepts and attempt to implement them for yourself and see what does, or doesn’t, work for you.

This state of Focused Intensity worked great for me throughout the majority of the day. It kept me at that 95% limit, enough that I could increase my attack a tad if needed, but the goal was to flow with the terrain as much as possible.

I even had a sick moment following Brayden Baisley in Test 2. He was passing me from row 24, and I decided to try and latch on to his pace.

The next 30 seconds were a blur, a true flow state of just doing, not reacting. I made a small mistake, noticed how high my heart rate had gotten, and decided to back it back down to 95%. Watching that footage back is sick because I remember how effortless it felt in the moment.

GASGAS BIKE SETUP FELT PERFECT If you’ve followed other race recaps from this year of enduro racing, you’ll know I have been struggling with getting the EX350 setup

properly. The GasGas frame is very stiff, and the suspension doesn’t work well stock for slower, more technical terrain. It wasn’t until after the Rattlesnake Enduro that I got my suspension done by Brady Meador. Another upgrade I made was switching more

consistently to the Dunlop AT-82.

It was at Muddobbers when we figured out the AT-82 rear is a taller tire, requiring an adjustment to the bike’s preload for proper rider sag.

Knowing this, I verified my

sag at Gobbler Getter, thanks Nick and TJ, and the bike felt AMAZING. I also went up to the 51T DDC Rear Sprocket due to the hills around the Perry Mountain Motorcycle Club property.

Even though I had to shift between 2 & 3 a bit more during the flatter sections, it helped a lot in the really tight stuff, and the hills. I could shift down into second gear, ride the technical bits, and then shift up into third as it started to open. When the trails were flowing, the bike stayed in third gear and we just rode the good times.

PULLING THE MENTAL TEAR-OFF In Test 5, a simple mistake slammed me face first into the tight pine trees. I had just seen Broc Hepler on the side of the trail and gave him a hoot. This might have pulled my attention away just enough from Focused Intensity that I missed something in the trail.

I thought it would be a quick recovery, but the bike was oddly caught, forcing me to reposition to get more legs into lifting the bike. A quick assessment of the bars made me feel lucky that my forks weren’t tweaked in the triple clamps. I knew I needed to forget what just happened and start moving forward again.

Steve Hatch refers to this as “pulling the mental tear-off”.

53 MILES OF TECHNICAL TRAILS LEFT ME FADING AT THE END The PMMC organized an amazing enduro to finish out the year. The way they worked us from the tight twisty to the off-camber was keeping a smile on all the racers faces.

If we dwell on something that is now past our control, we’re allowing it to take up brain power on trying to move forward. By pulling the mental tear-off, we use a physical reference of clearing our goggles to have a mental reference of clearing our mind.

In the moment of the race, racers have to leave mistakes where they happen. If not, we’ll override due to a feeling of needing to make up for the mistake, essentially causing more mishaps.

The weather was cool, and the moisture in the ground allowed for premium traction. If you didn’t enjoy the course laid out for us on the day, you’re better off getting a UTV. As the day wore on, I felt like I was doing a great job staying up on my hydration, nutrition,

and electrolytes. I normally have one UCAN Energy Gel an hour, while also sipping on UCAN Energy Power and LMNT from my hydration pack. I noticed in Ohio and Pennsylvania that I was feeling fatigued by the end of the day.

I added some different off-thebike training, but I also started

adding SiS Beta Gels into the mix on race day.

The UCAN gels have 20 grams of carbohydrates from their LIVSTEADY Non-GMO Corn Starch. This gives me between 30-40 grams an hour due to what I consume from my hydration bladder with the mixed in energy powder.

The SiS Beta Fuel Gel has 40 grams of carbohydrates in a maltodextrin-to-fructose combination. All that crazy sciency stuff to say I used two different gels to try and get more carbs in, without needing to just eat sugar.

It was all working great, until it wasn’t. I was chewing on a caffeine gum at the start of test six, chatting away as I do so well. I didn’t feel more fatigued than normal before going into the last test of the day. I do believe though, that the accumulation of the day started to take its toll on me as we were challenged in the A Only test.

The trail was a tad tighter, the off-camber was more challenging, and the flow tapered off a bit more. We were presented with hill climbs that weren’t necessarily difficult, we just had a tad less momentum to attack them with. I didn’t think I was riding any “slower” than I had been on the rest of the day, but looking at the times, we know that wasn’t the case.

Watching back the footage, I can see, and hear, how I was attacking less on the trail. Minor mistakes were popping up, stealing valuable momentum in places where you needed to flow. After Jhak and Brayden pass me is where my body language changes.

As I was approaching the eighth mile of the ten mile test, Hans Neff caught, and dropped, me. I challenged myself to stay with him, and I did so for about a minute, but he confidently rode away from me. It’s a poetic moment to watch, because it’s him

putting an exclamation point on his 45A National Enduro Championship!

I had yet to enjoy. And man oh man, did I enjoy this experience.

TRANSFERRING RACING LESSONS INTO DAILY LIFE

I hope others decide to try something they’ve been holding themselves back from trying. I know I’m glad I took on the challenge of racing the full National Enduro Series.

I’m a better rider, racer, father, and husband now that I’ve spent an entire year bettering myself toward a goal. Go find your goal, fail at attempting it, work on becoming better, and grow into the type of person who accomplishes that goal.

As I said in an Instagram post after the event. I’m satisfied and proud with how I rode at the Gobbler Getter Enduro.

Every lesson from the year was applied. I also know there’s room for improvement.

I may not follow the Nationals next year, but I know damn well I’m going to be working on my weaknesses.

When I decided at the end of 2024 that I wanted to race the National Enduros in 2025, I didn’t say to myself I wanted to try to win the 45A class.

I said I wanted to do this because I felt capable at this moment in time. I didn’t want to wait until I was retired, or till I felt fast enough, to try and enjoy the National Enduros.

I wanted to do this for me so I could enjoy an experience

he 2025 US Hard Enduro East Series wrapped up in fitting fashion with the inaugural Coal Cracker Smacker Hard Enduro, hosted by the Reading Off-Road Riders (RORR) in coordination with the Rausch Creek Trail Riders.

Set just north of Harrisburg, the event served as both the season finale and a test of composure under pressure.

After a grueling year of rock gardens, creek crossings, and wild championship swings, the East Regional crown came down to the wire between IRC Beta’s James Flynn and HRD’s Kamakana WaiwaioleKahalepuna — and it was decided by mere seconds on the final lap.

blending RORR’s trademark technicality with a layout aimed at engaging a broad range of riders. The club, long respected for events like Tough Like RORR, promised something different: a race “more suited for B/C Amateur racers, with harder Pro/A splits mixed in.” The result was a 13-mile loop that offered little rest and demanded constant precision. Even with clear skies and mild temperatures in the 40s and 50s, the course proved exhausting.

that turned climbs slick, and a grim novelty section dubbed The House of Plews, a crumbling old foundation that tested both line choice and nerve. “It’s all rocks the whole entire way,” said Youth racer Graham Kobak.

“It’s like handlebar-width, so you’re trying not to hit your handlebars on trees and slip out on rocks.” Riders’ arms pumped out early, and what organizers predicted would be 60-minute laps stretched into 90 for the front-runners.

PRO CLASS SHOWDOWN: A BATTLE TO THE LAST ROCK For the Pro field, the day unfolded like a championship script. Kamakana WaiwaioleKahalepuna, riding high off his first USHE Pro win at the Mad Moose Hard Enduro weeks earlier, came into Good Spring trailing James Flynn by just two points in the East standings. Flynn, who had been juggling EnduroCross competition the same weekend — racing in Idaho Falls on Friday before flying east overnight — arrived with one goal: to finish second or better to secure the regional title.

At the drop of the flag, it was Flynn who established the early lead. “The first lap, I was feeling pretty good. I had a bit of a gap,” he said afterward. But an incident nearly cost him everything: “I bent my rear brake pedal in to where the bike wouldn’t even move anymore. I had to stop and repair that.” The time lost allowed WaiwaioleKahalepuna to close in, and what followed was one of the tightest duels of the season.

“It was a bit rough, actually,” Kamakana admitted. “I didn’t have a very good start. I think I was fifth; I kept making mistakes. I picked it up, dug deep and just kept grinding it out. I caught up to James.

I passed him and just tried to put a nice little cushion in between us.” But with lapped traffic clogging the final section and fatigue setting in, Flynn reeled him back in.

The two raced wheel-to-wheel through the final creek and into the decisive rock garden.

“Coming into the last rock garden, he took a better line than me and got me,” Flynn recalled. “We came into the finish wheel-to-wheel. Shoutout to him; he was riding really well.” Waiwaiole-

Kahalepuna described the moment with equal disbelief: “That was the craziest thing because I just held it wide open in third and rode through the rocks, closed my eyes and just hoped for the best.” His daring paid off — taking the win by fractions of a second.

“Felt good, felt earned. I didn’t want to just finish with a big gap; I wanted to finish with something exciting.”

When the dust settled, Flynn’s second-place finish gave him just enough cushion to seal the AMA East Hard Enduro Pro Championship, edging Kamakana by two points.

“If our math was correct, I think I had to get second place or better to win the championship,” Flynn said, his relief visible even under the exhaustion. “It sounds like I got the championship. I’m pretty happy about that, too.”

The IRC Beta rider’s performance capped a season defined by consistency and adaptability. “There’s some technique stuff that I’ve been working on that helped with my EnduroCross a lot that I think actually carried over to this track quite a bit,” Flynn said. “I wouldn’t change it for anything; I love it.”

Behind the front two, the Pro class saw storylines of both triumph and heartbreak.

place after a season of nearmisses. “It was really smooth all day,” he said. “I got a bad start – I was last off the line.

I tried to play it safe and find out what the pace was. Once I figured that out, I tried to settle in. Danny [Lewis] and I were going back and forth the whole day. He made a mistake at the very end. It was a good day.”

That mistake haunted Beta USA’s Lewis, who finished fourth but admitted the day was still a blast. “Started off good. I was just cruising, taking my time. Then me and Maverik linked up and rode together for most of the first lap,” he said. “Started on the second lap and we got into this dry creek bed; I took a terrible line – it’s all in the video, you’ll see it – I went down to sixth place or something. I just started pushing as hard as I could and caught back up to him.” But the comeback unraveled when a risky line in a man-made drainage left his bike wedged between trees.

“There was no way I was catching back up to Maverik,” he said, laughing in disbelief.

“My arms are jello from all the rocks, but it was so fun.”

For Champion Brick’s Tobin Miller, the Coal Cracker Smacker lived up to its name.

– there were a lot of rocks without much break. I just couldn’t figure it out; I kept crashing everywhere,” he said after finishing fifth. The chaos started early at the first A-split, where Miller and others lost significant time. “We just couldn’t figure it out. I bet we lost five minutes.” Though battered, he still managed to stay in the mix, finding silver linings in the fight: “I just didn’t feel great on the bike today. It was a struggle day, but still fun to be out here riding.”

AMATEUR CLASSES BRING THE FIRE While the Pros delivered the headline drama, the amateur classes showcased the depth and dedication that define USHE’s East Region. In A Class, Boogie Rivera powered to victory after a confident start and steady pace. “I tried to minimize my mistakes, but I was catching arm pump in the rocks like first thing on the course,” he said. “By the second check, I had worked my way back up to first and I didn’t look back. I just felt the pressure once I was in first. I didn’t want to let them see me make a mistake and give them a burst of energy and motivate them to catch me.” Rivera’s

composure paid off with his first A-class win. “It was brutal on the arms, non-stop.

The win feels good. It feels like all the events we’ve been to and all the riding we’ve been doing has paid off.”

In C Class, Brody Tober set

the tone early. “I basically pulled the holeshot and never looked back,” he said. “This course wasn’t my favorite because it’s a lot of rocks. I just pushed through and tried to keep a flow going.” Tober’s effort earned him a backto-back victory to close the season. “Feels good. I knew I could do it. These last two rounds, I pulled it out, and I’m stoked for that.”

In the Youth category, the battle for the AMA East Hard Enduro Regional Championship came down to Graham Kobak and Bentlee Bredekamp, with Bredekamp taking the event win, but Kobak ultimately taking the championship title. “I started out pretty slow. I went out, crashed in the creek, got all wet, wasn’t very happy,” Kobak admitted with a grin. “I caught Chase [Delong]… then I caught Bentlee [Bredekamp].

Bentlee went down and I got a little gap.” But victory came

at a cost: “I was feeling good, coming through the rocky creek… tried to pop out of a little hole, and heard all my spokes pop out of my wheel, then my brakes go out. It sucks, but it’s alright.” Despite the mechanical, Kobak’s points advantage secured him the Youth crown. Bredekamp, gracious in defeat, reflected simply: “The championship was good. It was a good battle with Graham and my friends.”

Max Beaupre, meanwhile, closed out his rookie season with the E-Moto Expert Championship title. “This is my first year racing hard enduro. I had a blast,” he said. “It was so nice meeting everybody and feeling the community out. I can’t thank everyone enough for being kind to the token e-bike guy.”

Among the veterans, Jay Smith epitomized perseverance.

Three weeks removed from a broken arm, he still lined up and clinched the Masters 60+ class championship. “It’s great to be here,” he said. “I’m glad Matt [Musgrove] made a class for us to run, give hope to the young people that you can still do this when you’re old.”

In B Senior 40+, Bryan Auten wrapped up his title with a mix of satisfaction and humility. “Honestly, it feels pretty good,” he said.

“I’ve worked hard this year to try and get here. Only one highlight: I blew up my bike at TKO, so that was a bummer; I ended up with nothing there, but still managed to get the championship win, so that was good.”

Though the Coal Cracker Smacker was RORR’s first time hosting a USHE round at this property, it carried the polish of an experienced organizer. The layout struck a fine balance — accessible for intermediates yet filled with technical flavor for the upper classes. Even riders who struggled admitted to enjoying

the challenge. “I think it was just like they advertised,” Thaxton said. “There wasn’t anything super difficult, but some of the Pro/A sections had their fair share of things you had to think about.”

Smacker delivered exactly what a finale should: tension, redemption, and genuine racing spirit. For Flynn, it was the championship he’d been building toward all year. For Waiwaiole-Kahalepuna, it was a hard-fought victory that confirmed his arrival among

the elite. And for every rider who muscled through the endless Pennsylvania rock beds, it was a reminder of why they line up at all — for the grind, the grit, and the satisfaction of conquering something few others can.

ermany’s Getzenwald forest once again came alive as the world’s best hard enduro riders converged for the 2025 24MX GetzenRodeo, held October 24–26 in Grießbach. More than 10,000 fans lined the hillsides and creek crossings to watch the sport’s defining event, one that has become as much a festival of grit and precision as a championship decider. For Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Manuel Lettenbichler, it was more than just a home race—it was the crowning moment of a near-perfect season that delivered his fifth FIM Hard Enduro World Championship title.

The atmosphere was already electric by Friday morning.

The GetzenRodeo, now one of the most anticipated stops on the Hard Enduro World Championship calendar, has built its reputation not only on technical brutality but also on the intimacy between riders and fans. The event’s two-day format—Friday’s prologue and Saturday’s dualrace showdown—creates an intensity unmatched anywhere else.

Friday’s prologue set the tone. Two riders at a time blasted through a short but punishing lap, featuring steep rock descents, muddy

creek crossings, and a daring downhill jump over a boulder before launching onto a wooden ramp across a stream.

The recent rains had softened the soil, creating a slick surface that thrilled spectators but tested traction to the limit.

The crowd gasped when local hopeful Emil Kessler suffered a heavy crash in one of the early heats, his bike faltering over the stream jump. Thankfully, after a brief hospital check, Kessler was back in the paddock by evening, shaken but safe.

Sixteen-year-old Henry Strauss became a fan favorite, riding with remarkable composure to finish twelfth overall—second only to Lettenbichler among German riders.

As the sun dipped below the trees, the battle everyone was waiting for unfolded between the sport’s two giants: Billy Bolt and Manuel Lettenbichler.

The head-to-head duel was a spectacle of precision versus aggression—Lettenbichler smooth and surgical, Bolt wild and relentless. When the times came in, it was the Brit who edged ahead, winning the 24MX GetzenRodeo Prologue by seven seconds.

Mitch Brightmore continued his impressive rookie season by slotting into second, while Lettenbichler settled for third, satisfied to have earned a prime starting slot for Saturday’s main event.

That evening’s opening ceremony drew a roaring crowd as all 64 riders were presented under the floodlights. Children waved flags bearing their heroes’ numbers, and fans from across Europe packed the Grießbach sports field, ready for what promised to be a defining Saturday.

By 10 a.m. Saturday, engines echoed through the Getzenwald. The GetzenRace—an approximately two-hour qualifier—determines the twenty riders advancing to the afternoon’s GetzenChamp final. Starting in rows of six, competitors tackled a looping course that wound through the forest’s steep ravines and technical rock gardens.

Lettenbichler wasted no time asserting control. Riding his KTM 300 EXC with total confidence, he pulled clear early and stretched his lead lap after lap. “In the quali race this morning I had a really good pace and I was pushing a lot,” he said afterward. “I managed to just keep building on my lead to win that with over four minutes to spare.”

Behind him, Sherco’s Mario Roman put in a steady performance to take second, while Bolt—so dominant the day before—struggled to find rhythm, finishing outside the points in eleventh. The British star admitted later, “I struggled a lot during the first race this morning. We had a few issues we had to iron out, and finishing eleventh in that one is a long way from where I want to be.”

Still, the result set the stage for an afternoon of redemption, as Bolt reset for the final while Lettenbichler’s countrymen Felix Bähker and Strauss gave the German fans even more reason to cheer.

At 2 p.m., the top twenty riders launched into the GetzenChamp. The course— tightened and shortened from the morning loop—was a savage mix of steep climbs, axle-deep ruts, and rock steps slick with moisture. Every obstacle was lined with spectators who were close enough to offer a push or a shout of encouragement.

immediately began stretching the gap. “The main race was go-time for me,” he said. “I really wanted to win it in front of my home crowd, and I honestly wasn’t even thinking about the championship at all.” Riding with an almost effortless flow, he built a margin that bordered on unreal. After more than an hour and a half of racing, he crossed the finish line more than twelve minutes clear of Roman, having lapped every other rider in the field.

Roman, ever the consistent challenger, was the only rider to finish on the lead lap.

“I’m very happy, thanks to everyone, especially the fans here in Germany,” he said.

“This is such a great event, and I’m proud to stand on the podium for the fourth time.

The track was far from easy again—certainly one of the toughest of the year. You can’t afford mistakes.”

Bolt clawed his way from a mid-pack start to third, salvaging a strong podium and maintaining second in the world standings. “On the positive side, we improved things for the second race and I was able to make my way through to finish third,” he said. “Not where I want to be—I’m here to

fight for wins—but huge congratulations to Mani for wrapping up another championship. The whole Getzen team have put on an amazing event once again.”

Behind them came a talented group of rising stars: Brightmore in fourth, continuing his breakout season, and South Africa’s Matthew Green rounding out the top five. Germany’s own Felix Bähker also made the final, finishing inside the top ten—a proud moment for local fans.

When Lettenbichler climbed onto the podium, the forest erupted. “It’s so special to win the championship here at Getzen,” he said. “The crowd was insane, and I’m honestly speechless at how motivating they were. I felt like I was at my best today, and it paid off.

I’m proud of the whole Red Bull KTM team—they’ve worked so hard all year. To clinch the title with one round to spare is incredible.”

The victory sealed his fifth career Hard Enduro World Championship and his fourth consecutive crown since 2022.

It capped a season in which he dominated the series with wins at Valleys Hard Enduro, Silver Kings, and Sea to Sky,

alongside podiums at Abestone and Hixpania.

Lettenbichler’s total control over both machine and terrain has become the benchmark of modern hard enduro.

Riding the KTM 300 EXC, he navigates chaos with poise— never the loudest or most flamboyant, but always the most precise. His combination

of technical mastery and calm composure under pressure has made him nearly unbeatable in 2025.

Beyond the world title drama, GetzenRodeo’s spirit lies in its grassroots energy. The event, organized by GetzenRodeo e.V. and led by Falko Haase, once again delivered an

unforgettable show despite mounting logistical challenges.

“It was an incredible event,” said local favorite Marcel Teucher, who finished 36th.

“Falko Haase and his team did an amazing job and made the track even tougher again.

I hope all the fans enjoyed it too.”

For the junior championship contenders, the stakes were equally high. KTM’s James Moore clinched the Junior World Championship with ninth overall, while Bähker took second in the category— giving Germany two podium spots in front of the home crowd.

Other Saxon riders made their presence felt: Felix Bopp, Kenny Lötzsch, and Raven Lippold all finished strong in the deep field, earning roars of approval from local fans who recognize the effort it takes just to complete the Getzen course.

With one round remaining— the Roof of Africa in Lesotho—Lettenbichler’s points lead is mathematically unassailable at 166, followed

by Bolt with 123 and Brightmore with 121. Roman sits fourth with 104, while

GasGas’ Wade Young rounds out the top five on 97.

For Bolt, the focus now shifts to securing vice-champion honors and preparing for the indoor season. For Roman and Brightmore, it’s about momentum heading into Africa. But for Lettenbichler, 2025 is already etched in

history—a year of precision, dominance, and the perfect homecoming.

Few venues capture the essence of hard enduro like the Getzenwald. Its combination of natural chaos, roaring fans, and German efficiency creates an atmosphere that riders compare to racing inside an

arena of trees. And this year, as Lettenbichler stood atop the podium, fireworks illuminating the misty forest, it was clear that GetzenRodeo had once again delivered not just a race, but a defining chapter in the story of modern hard enduro.

he 13th and final round of the JDay Offroad Series brought riders to Southwick, Massachusetts, for the East Grand Regional AMA Championship sponsored

by Factory Connection, held November 1–2. With 29 Pro riders on the line and only two points separating Brandon Gregoire and Justin Cokinos, the Southwick sand promised chaos — and it delivered.

In Moto 1 of the Pro AA class, BETA USA's Brayden Nolette jumped into the early lead, but Plaistow Powersports' Justin Cokinos made a clean 26

pass before the moto track to take control. Behind them, AmPro Yamaha's Brandon Gregoire suffered a deadlast start. Gregoire charged through traffic, closing in on Jiggs Fustini for second before hunting down Cokinos.

Cokinos had built a strong gap and looked in position to take the moto, but by lap 5, Gregoire had cut the lead to just four seconds. In the second-to-last corner in the woods, Gregoire made the winning pass. He took the Moto 1 victory, with Cokinos finishing second and Fustini

third. Nolette, Cooper Jones, and Jake Abbott battled relentlessly for top-six positions, swapping spots all moto long.

Moto 2 was the championship decider. This time, Gregoire grabbed the early lead while Cokinos found himself buried in the pack, working through traffic. Gregoire controlled the pace until lap 3, when a crash on the moto track opened the door for Cokinos and Fustini to move into first and second.

The 16-year-old Fustini has put on an impressive show, running up front with some of the fastest woods riders in New England all year long.

Cokinos continued to pull away, widening the gap with each lap. With the title on the line, fans packed into the finish area to watch the final moments.

When the checkered flag waved, Justin Cokinos crossed the line first, securing the Moto 2 win and earning his first JDay Offroad title, along with the 2025 East Grand Regional AMA Championship.

On the podium, Cokinos proudly held his #1 championship plaque, joined

by Gregoire in second and Fustini in third.

After the race, Cokinos shared his emotions: “We wanted that all year. It’s been a long year.” When asked what was going through his mind on the final lap, he added: “I had to stay focused because with all of those ruts, it was easier going slower. Anything could happen. Let’s get there first, then we can celebrate. Once I crossed the checkered, it finally hit me.”

Rachel Gutish Makes History

W

hen the curtain fell on the 2025 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Zschopau, Germany, it wasn’t just the end of another thrilling season — it was a moment that forever changed U.S. off-road racing history. Rachel Gutish, aboard her RIEJU Factory MR 300i, became the first American ever — man or woman — to win an FIM Enduro World Championship.

For Gutish, who entered the year uncertain whether she would even have a ride, the achievement was as emotional as it was improbable. “At the beginning of the year, I had no team, nowhere to go, and honestly no hope of returning to EnduroGP,” she admitted. “But RIEJU stepped in and saved my season. I’m proud for myself and for my country — we finally have a World Championship title!”

Heading into 2025, Gutish’s future appeared uncertain. After finishing runner-up to Mireia Badia the previous season, she was left without a contract when Badia retired. Only weeks before the season opener, RIEJU extended a last-minute lifeline — offering her Badia’s vacant seat and a chance to continue competing on the world stage.

What followed was a seven-month campaign that showcased consistency, determination, and mental toughness. Gutish hit the ground running in Portugal, getting acquainted with her race bike for the first time at a preseason test — and never looked back. She carried the championship lead into the German finale, where she sealed the title with back-to-back victories under cold, technical conditions.

“It’s an interesting feeling — a different one than I expected,” Gutish reflected as she held her gold medal. “I thought it would be euphoric.

Instead, I feel content — and that’s better, because it lasts longer than fleeting joy would.

I accomplished what I set out to do. In a way, I feel like I’ve achieved my purpose.”

For RIEJU, the season marked another high point in its modern racing renaissance.

The Spanish manufacturer not only celebrated Gutish’s world title — its second consecutive Women’s World Championship — but also earned the runner-up spot with Britain’s Rosie Rowett, giving the team a historic one-two finish.

Rowett entered the German finale sitting second overall after a strong year that included a double victory at the British round. She finished third on Saturday and second on Sunday in Zschopau, securing her World ViceChampion title and capping off a stellar season that also saw her crowned French Women’s Enduro Champion.

“I had a really good weekend,” Rowett said.

“I knew I needed to beat Francesca on Sunday to secure second in the championship.

She unfortunately had a bad crash, so Sunday became about reaching the finish together with Rachel — and

we did. It was a great race and I’m really happy to take home second place in the Enduro Women’s World Championship.”

RIEJU Factory Team Manager Miquel García praised his riders and crew: “For the second year in a row, we are Enduro Women’s World Champions with Rachel Gutish, and Runner-Up with Rosie Rowett. I’m proud of everyone — the riders, the RIEJU staff, and our sponsors.

It’s remarkable that, for the first time in history, an American rider has won the Enduro Women’s World Title aboard our new Spanish-made motorcycle. This is a powerful combination.”

Gutish’s success also underscores the growing competitiveness and depth of the women’s division within EnduroGP. The 2025 season featured three different race winners, six podium finishers, and 18 point scorers, alongside the introduction of a Junior Women’s category, signaling a bright future for female enduro racing.

Yet Gutish remains grounded about what it will take for the sport to truly expand its reach. “The top-level women do not lack inspiration — we

lack opportunity,” she said.

“It’s important that we are given the chance to continue providing that inspiration.

It’s a great thing for girls to see us racing and understand this sport can be for them too, not just for their father or brother.”

As the season fades into memory, Gutish’s focus remains forward. “I plan to race for many more years and hope to win many more championships,” she shared.

“Don’t interpret this as a retirement speech. But if something were to happen, I think I could accept it and be at peace. This was never true before.”

For RIEJU, her triumph is a testament to the strength of its team and machinery — and for Gutish, it’s a defining moment in a career that has already rewritten the record books.

The sight of the American flag rising in Germany wasn’t just a victory for a rider or a brand — it was a statement that perseverance, opportunity, and belief can turn even the most uncertain beginnings into history-making moments.

he curtain fell on the 2025 season of the Progressive Grand National Cross Country Racing (GNCC Racing) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship, at the iconic Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, where three relentless days of off-road action culminated in classic fall conditions and hard-fought finishes.

With points tallies locked in, achievements embraced and rivals already eyeing 2026, the Ironman proved once again why it stands not just as a race—but as the defining bookend of a GNCC season.

Phoenix Racing Honda’s Michael Witkowski clinched his first-career overall win at the 2025 Ironman GNCC in Crawfordsville, Indiana, powering through the rugged 13th and final round of the season to take the top spot.

He edged out a tight field to lock in a breakthrough success that marks a major milestone in his off-road racing journey.

Coming into the weekend, Witkowski had shown flashes of speed, but this performance underscored his ability to keep it clean, smart, and fast when it mattered most.

“Yeah, honestly last night I was like, ‘Man, I can do this, I’ve just got to put this all together,” said Mike Witkowski. “Today, man, the bike felt so good. I think that was the key factor. I got a good start, and it honestly just felt effortless. They always say when you win it feels easy, but it truly was. Just a special day. It went so smooth. Just a huge thanks to the team, it was incredible. To go into the offseason like this, it will make it so much easier to put in all those hours.”

Witkowski’s teammate, and XC2 250 Pro class competitor, Phoenix Racing Honda’s Cody Barnes would come through to finish second overall while earning his second-straight XC2 class win of the season.

With that win, Barnes would solidify his second place finish in the XC2 points standings for the 2025 season.

“It was a good day,” said Cody Barnes. “I got off to a third place start which was good and made a couple of passes. I got off by myself, and I was with the XC1 guys, and it was hard to pass. With the dust and the fields, no one wanted to let anyone by…I get

it. Second overall on the day is good and for Pheonix Honda to finish 1-2 is good, it shows the progression of the team.

First place in XC2 feels good, and this is the closest I get to a race at home.”

AmPro Yamaha’s Liam Draper pushed himself throughout the three-hour race, battling his way up to the front of the pack once again. Draper would find himself up to third and then into second pushing his way to make a battle for the lead.

Draper would unfortunately be unable to catch Witkowski for the overall lead but would put in a great ride at the season finale in Indiana.

“It was a battle from the word go, I had a pretty average start, I don’t know where I was but it wasn’t at the front,” said Liam Draper. “Made some moves and felt really good for the first two or three laps.

Made it to the fuel stop and after that, I had three good crashes back to back and lost touch with Mikey [Witkowski].

From there it was really tough to dig out of that hole and find my flow again. Yeah, definitely bummed to not get that win.”

FMF KTM Factory Racing’s

Jonathan Girroir made a strong return to the woods for the 2025 season finale at the Yamaha Racing Ironman GNCC, pushing his way to a hard-fought third place finish in the XC1 Open Pro class and fourth overall on the day. Girroir demonstrated he still has the speed and composure to battle at the front. Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green’s Grant Baylor finished fifth overall and delivered a very encouraging ride, showing grit and consistency to put in a standout performance among a stacked pro field.

Finishing second in the XC2 250 Pro class was Rocket

Racing/Bonecutter Off-Road’s Brody Johnson as he came through sixth overall on the day. Johnson has steadily progressed throughout the season, earning four podium finishes in the 2025 season and finishing the season with his best finish of the year.

Flatrock Motorclub GASGAS Factory Racing’s Jordan Ashburn found himself running at the front of the pack early in the race, and after a long rough track he would cross the line fifth in XC1 and seventh overall on

the day. AmPro Yamaha’s Kailub Russell was coming off his first victory of the season but would be unable to make a charge to the front of the pack this weekend in Indiana.

Russell finished out his day in eighth overall.

At the 2025 Ironman GNCC, veteran rider Liqui Moly Factory Beta Racing’s Josh Strang and FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Benjamin Kelley showcased their resilience and skill by finishing within the top 10 overall. Their performances underscored their enduring

competitiveness in the demanding GNCC series.

FMF KTM Factory Racing Lander’s Angus Riordan would battle through the rough terrain at the season finale to earn third in the XC2 250 Pro class, and in the points standings for the season.

Kelley sealed his place among the off-road elite by earning his second Overall GNCC National Championship this season. What makes the achievement especially impressive is the backdrop: Kelley battled through injuries and strong competition to emerge on top, demonstrating not just speed but resilience, strategy and maturity in his racing craft.

“I knew at the pit that Grant was out, and I was battling with Jordan in fourth, we were fighting for the third place spot,” said Ben Kelley. “I was comfortable there. That’s when my bike started to bog down and I was like 'You’ve got to be kidding me.' I saw a KTM guy, it turned out to be Timmy [Weigand, Team Manager] and told him I needed an air filter. I was able to finish that lap, luckily, and get the filter changed, but I dropped way back and didn’t know where I was for a while, and I knew I still needed to score seven points and I was like 'Man I’m still pretty far back here!' They told me I needed 12th and I was in ninth or tenth. I was getting kicked around in the dust.”

Unfortunately, for FMF KTM Factory Racing Lander's Grant Davis, he would crash during the race and be forced to exit the race early. Davis would finish second in points this season, but that's without saying he had a remarkable year, earning four overall wins and an additional three podium finishes.

The XC3 125 Pro-Am class saw a new winner at Ironman as Yamaha-backed, Ryder Sigety made the move up.

to finish. Jayson Crawford continued to push throughout the race as he found himself running consistently in second for the three hour race.

Rounding out the XC3 podium in third was Isaiah Brown as he held onto that third place position from the opening lap until the checkered flag flew.

Top Amateur honors at the Yamaha Racing Ironman GNCC would go to 250 A class winner, Lane Whitmer as he came through to earn 15th overall on the day.

Van Adams would stand second on the Top Amateur podium with an Open A class win and a 16th overall finishing position.

Gavin Simon finished second in the 250 A class and would round out the top three Top Amateurs with a 19th overall finish.

throughout the year, she sealed the title on the final weekend by grabbing the early lead and pushing herself forward throughout the race. This triumph not only crowns her season’s work but also lays a strong foundation for what promises to be an even more

exciting future in off-road racing.

Coming through just 1.7 seconds off of Steede was FMF KTM Factory Racing Lander’s Brandy Richards.

After making a pass on Steede when the white flag came out, Richards would be unable

to hold off a determined and hard-charging Steede on the final lap of the race. Richards would continue to push herself, crossing the line in second. Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green’s Rachael Archer found herself in the third place position for the duration of the race.

Archer continued to push on but would be unable to catch the front runners, which would end her hunt for her fourthstraight championship. Archer would finish out the season second in WXC. The 10 AM Amateur race also included the Ironman Industry class full of some great competition including Cole Martinez who earned the overall win, and Zach Osborne earning second overall on the day. Brayden Nolette took part in the class with Beta and earned third overall in the race.

With the amateur race being split into two separate races on Sunday, the 8 AM Amateur Race #1 saw Gavin Harwell take home the overall win and 4-Stroke C Lites class win, while Sam Cline and Clayton Gantt rounded out the overall podium and top three in the 4-Stroke C Lites class.

Two riders, two styles, one shared obsession with perfection. Between them, they’ve claimed every overall win, reshaped the championship conversation, and elevated EnduroCross into one of the most compelling motorsports battles anywhere.

The 2025 season began with the sense that something bigger was building. For the riders, it meant renewed purpose;

stamped his authority on the field. He won two of three motos, signaling the resurgence of the 2022 champion. But even in defeat, Hart—the two-time defending KTM star from British Columbia—proved unshakable, clawing from last to fifth in the final moto after a violent mid-air collision to finish second overall.

From that moment on, the rivalry was locked in.

By the end of Round 4, the pattern was undeniable: Walker wins on speed; Hart wins on willpower. Their combined dominance has been breathtaking. Neither has finished outside the top two overall all season.

Walker has been the fastest man in every qualifying Hot Lap—his 44.466-second blitz in Redmond was nearly a full second quicker than anyone—but speed alone hasn’t guaranteed results. His one weakness, the start, has repeatedly kept him chasing.

“Terrible starts,” he said bluntly in Oregon. “That’s all I can say. I had the speed, but my starts really let me down.”

Hart, by contrast, has been clinical. He doesn’t always set the fastest lap, but he never blinks under pressure. His calculated aggression, coupled

with veteran composure, has turned him into an efficiency machine. Through four rounds, he’s led or finished second in 14 straight motos, often managing pain, traffic, and pressure with stoic precision.

In Idaho Falls, he admitted that the intensity of the battle was unlike anything he’d experienced. “The nerves, no matter how much I said they didn’t get to me, they obviously

did,” Hart said. “Jonny was really fast. I was really fast.

Me and Jonny clearly got something going on, and it’s gonna be a tough series.”

That mutual push has produced racing of rare quality—two riders pacing laps within tenths of each other, separated by inches through rock gardens and log pits. For fans, it’s been a masterclass in controlled chaos. For the riders, it’s a mental chess match with physical consequences.

“I really didn’t think the top two was in jeopardy tonight,” he admitted afterward. “My arm was really not well after practice. I knew the adrenaline would take over, and I just accepted that it either would work or it wouldn’t.”

It worked—and it may have sealed the championship momentum. The win extended his streak to three consecutive overalls and stretched his points lead to six, 97-91 over Walker. It also reaffirmed the defining trait that has made Hart a two-time defending champion: relentless control in moments that would unravel others.

His post-race math said everything. When Walker made contact to pass him in the final moto, Hart didn’t retaliate. “Would’ve been nice to get all three wins,” he

“We had good speed,” Walker said in Idaho Falls after finishing second. “A few things we need to change. I didn’t feel super comfortable with the dirt, and the arena’s small. But the pace is there.”

That pace keeps him in striking distance of Hart every round, and his determination is unflinching. Three of his four runner-up finishes have come down to mere seconds, and his ability to rebound from early mistakes has made him one of the most captivating riders on the floor.

Thirteen-year-old Max Eppelmann from Germany has been the revelation of the year. Racing for Beta and training under coach Tim Polo, he has dominated both the Junior and Intermediate divisions, often racing—and winning— back-to-back mains on the same night.

In the U.S., Washington’s Cooper Stevens has matched that rise with multiple wins across Intermediate and Club classes, showcasing the developmental ladder’s growing competitiveness.

California’s Cole Clarkson has delivered smart, strategic rides—including a memorable last-lap pass in Idaho Falls that won him the Junior main and ignited the crowd.

Further down the pipeline, Ethan Surry from British Columbia has been nearly untouchable in the Novice ranks, while veteran stalwarts Bobby Prochnau and Gavin McCarthy have traded blows in the Veteran class, proving the sport’s longevity.

he 2025 season of the Redline Oil AMA National Enduro Series, presented by MSR and Beta Motorcycles, concluded in Stanton, Alabama. Riders were gifted a perfect fall day in the mid-60s, along with incredible trail conditions.

The first test of the Motion Pro Gobbler Getter National was eight miles. The host club, Perry Mountain Motorcycle Club, gave racers a longer section, at 9.6 miles, for the second test. Section 3 was 8 miles, followed by a 7.2-mile test. Section 5 was the shortest of the day at 4.8 miles long, while the final test was the longest at 10 miles.

Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green’s Grant Baylor had to fight through arm pump in the first test, something he said he hadn’t experienced in a couple years. Despite the struggle, he was able to capture second in the opening test. He went on to win the next test before taking the runner-up spot in Test 3. He won the final three tests to propel him to the top of the leaderboard.

These last couple rounds, that’s what I did -- just let it flow and it feels good to be back riding strong. Today was an awesome day. The track was awesome… I knew it was going to be a close day with everybody ripping.”

“Yeah man, we’re back,” said Grant Baylor. “It feels good to be back, almost 100 percent healthy here. I was struggling a little bit earlier in the year with commitment in these national enduros.

The GNCCs weren’t too bad, riding the trail beforehand on the bicycle, but it just took me

“The Triumph’s been awesome,” said Ricky Russell.

“I’ve been loving it, especially at these enduros. It’s got really good traction, and the dirt here this weekend was epic.

The club did a great job. The trails were a blast. I really enjoyed test six at the end, compared to last year… Good conditions make everything more fun… I’m really happy.

[It was] my best year in enduros to get second place overall.”

Russell ends the 2025 season second in the championship.

After locking up the 2025 Redline Oil AMA National Enduro Championship at the prior round, Steward Baylor Jr. of Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green rounded out the podium at the Motion Pro Gobbler Getter National. The six-time AMA National Enduro champion decided to switch it up and

race a Kawasaki KX250F in Alabama. He went 4-4 through the first two tests before securing the Test 3 win. He wrapped up the day with threestraight second-place results.

“Earlier in the week, I didn’t even know if I’d be racing this weekend,” said Steward Baylor Jr. “I’ve got a couple surgeries [scheduled] that have just been on the back burner since last year. And I wanted to do something

different and just ride without pressure. So decided to line up on the 250 today and just see what it was about. It was fun.

I’ve always loved this place.

Obviously, I think this, of any of the tracks, is probably one of the ones that favors the 450, but we had fun and that was what it was about… In my professional career, I never actually got to ride a 250F. I just wanted to ride a small bike, and we had a blast on it.”

Baylor Jr. also announced on Saturday that the 2026 season will be his last year competing in national enduros full-time.

“It’s kind of bittersweet…,” he said. 2025 NE Pro2 Champion Nicholas Defeo once again showcased his skills. The Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green rider went 1-2-1 in class to open the day. He took wins through the next two sections before earning second in the final test. It marked his fifth NE Pro2 win of the year. Defeo

also announced that he’ll be moving up to NE Pro1 for the 2026 season.

In only his second appearance at a national enduro this year, New Jersey’s Jason Tino scored second in NE Pro2. The FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers rider went 4-1 before going 2-2-2 and capping off the day with a test win aboard his KTM 250 XC-F. Rounding out the NE Pro2 podium was Beta USA’s Jhak

Walker. Grabbing second in class to kick off the day, he went 3-3 before taking fourth through the final three tests.

The Motion Pro Gobbler Getter National marked his sixth class-podium of the season. He finishes the year ranked second.

Rieju’s Rachel Gutish edged out Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green’s Rachael Archer for the 2025 Women’s Elite Championship by just three points. Archer was absent at the final round,

but Gutish still needed to finish on the podium to secure the championship.

It was Enduro Engineering’s Shelby Turner who ended up taking the class win by over a minute at the event, with four test wins and two runner-up results. It marked her first class-win of the year, and she ends the year ranked third in Women’s Elite.

2-3-1-2 before rounding out the day with two third-place test results in order to secure the championship.

Maryland’s Brooke Cosner rounded out the podium. She claimed third through the opening test before taking second in Section 2. She collected two more thirdplace results before earning a test win in the fifth section.

She concluded the day with a second-place test result aboard her Kawasaki.

The 2025 AA class champion, Lane Whitmer, finished first in class and 11th overall over the weekend. He never finished below second in class through all the tests on the day.

Brayden Baisley earned the 250A class win in Alabama.

The Tennessee-based rider swept the day on his Husqvarna. With six podium finishes, he closes out the 2025 season as the runner-up in the 250A class.
