ClassNotes Andy Russick writes: “Life … trying my best to keep a good perspective, appreciate what I have been given, and to take care of my fam. Living as quietly as possible at age 47 with two kids and wife Kathy. I sell stuff and am happy to report that people keep buying the stuff.”

Maria Nash Vaughn and Issac Vaughn ’84 celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary this year. They have two children and live in the Rose Garden neighborhood of San Jose. Maria serves on the Board of Regents for SCU and on the Board of the Common Grounds Speaker Series.

Jennifer (Barnett) Skorlich recently celebrated her 10-year wedding anniversary. They have a girl. Skorlich works for NBC from home. Her nephew, Kevin Galindo ’13, works in SCU’s Alumni Office.

Arnie von Massenhausen writes: “Maria ’87 and I have been married 21 years and have our first son, AJ ’14, ‘on the program.’”

Mary Beth Suhr writes: “Surviving the financial crisis at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where I help successful individuals and their families oversee and manage all aspects of their personal financial matters. Peter J.D./ MBA ’86 and I have spent the past 22 years living in Menlo Park with our two sons.” Stacey Taddeucci writes: “For 24 years I’ve lived on the Monterey Peninsula with my husband and two children, Alexandra ’11 and Patrick. I retired from teaching kindergarten a few years ago and am now enjoying substitute teaching and walking my dog.”

Allison Joss writes: “I have been married for almost 21 years. We have four boys and live in Orinda, Calif.”

Alex Laymon MBA ’93 is president of DPSS Lasers Inc. in Santa Clara and has lived in the Rose Garden area of San Jose for 17 years. Laymon has been married for 20 years and has two kids.

Jenny (Merk) Krenek writes: “I have been married to Jeff Krenek ’87 for 17 years. We have four children and have called Portland home for the past 14. I’m a stay-at-home mom, which of course means I’m not home much, mostly driving between schools, sports, and activities.”

Leslie Camille Pierce writes: “After graduation, I moved to Southern California, where I met my husband in Hermosa Beach. We’ve been in northern New Jersey for almost 10 years and have three children. I am a stayat-home mom, with a part-time bookkeeping job.” |

Steve Toomey writes: “Living in Chicago now for five years with wife, three kids, and two dogs. I have spent the last 16 years with the same company, BTS, a strategy alignment firm.” Anna (Lang) Tseng is working as a sales application engineer with Atrenta in San Jose. She and her husband love to travel, are avid cruisers, and visited Shanghai China during the World Expo. Along with their son, the family lives in Saratoga.

1989 Scott Mauk received his Ed.D. from Seattle Pacific University in June 2010. He is director of Special Education, director of Special Programs, and director of Whidbey Island Academy in the South Whidbey School District in Washington—“Way too many titles!” he writes.

1990 Bryan D. Flint is director of communications and outreach for Commissioner of Public Lands Peter Goldmark, who heads the Department of Natural Resources and a Washington State agency that manages 5.7 million acres of public lands. Flint lives in Tacoma, Wash.
