Omak plans June 12 graduation By Dee Camp The Chronicle OMAK – Graduation is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, in the high school gym, 20 S. Cedar St. The advanced choir will perform. Principal John Belcher
and Superintendent Art Himmler will speak. Valedictorian is Jaime Dienst, daughter of Dr. Bill and Yong Dienst. Selection of salutatorian is pending receipt of SAT scores, Counselor Daryl Moulton said.
Omak uses a combination of grades and test scores to determine valedictorian and salutatorian. Contenders are Joshua Gray, son of Ken and Cleo Gray, and MaryJordan Braley, daughter of Eric and Arlene Braley.
Students with 4.0 grade point averages are Dienst, Kailey Grattan, Austin Baker and Morgan Gariano. The class motto is “Let the journey begin.” Class colors are red and black, and the flower is the red rose.
