Christians in Action OMAK – Christians in Action celebrates its 44th year with music, free ice water, Bibles, Western church service and refreshments at the Omak Stampede Aug. 1114. The inspirational presentations are at Triangle Park between the carnival and rodeo arena. All events are free of admission and sponsored by Christians In Action, a local interdenominational non-profit corporation. Music begins at about 5 p.m. each night and continues until after the rodeo Friday and Saturday evenings. Returning to the stage that he shared with his parents Don and Patty Parks, Tom Parks brings his wife Debbie and their four children—Aaron, Caleb, Joshua, Melody—to the Christians In Action Gospel Stage Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Living in Branson, MO, they are on a Northwest Tour this year. Their original songs in Southern Gospel style includes Piano, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Fiddle, Mandolin, Drums, Ukulele, Dulcimer, Electric Bass and Doumbek Drum. Tune Valley resident Nicole Unser will take the stage at 5p.m. Saturday. She was awarded the 2015 first place prize in the “Country” category of the “Unsigned Only”

Music Competition for her original song “Smokin,'”selected from 7,000 entries from more than 100 countries worldwide. She has played legendary venues like the Ryman Auditorium and Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tenn. Loose Change, fronted by Kathy Peterson are also on the bill to perform at 6 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 p.m. Saturday evenings. The group comprised of Peterson, Brenda Behrent, April Garbat, Jerry Oliver and Lyn Pearce will perform a variety of bluegrass and olOther activities include a youth night Friday from 7-9 p.m. with Jason and Jamison Gibbons, Federal Way, and Kimberly Pfitzer, Okanogan. A Spanish services planned from 7-8 p.m. with the Rev. Raul Martinez and Eglesia del Tercer Dia (Church of the 3rd Day), Tonasket; Rodeo visitors are invited to the interdenominational outdoor Western church service at Sunday, 8:30 a.m. for a free continental breakfast, music and message in western style. Morning Sun Yellow Pony, Montana, will bring the message and the Parks Family will perform the music.
