OMAHA PROUDLY WELCOMES YOU TO BE YOURSELF AND EXPLORE A CITY FILLED WITH UNIQUE EXPERIENCES
The LGBTQ+ community’s safety is of the utmost importance, and the city strives to create an accepting and inclusive environment at all attractions, events, restaurants, and hotels.
Throughout the year, Omaha celebrates Pride with an array of special events including the Heartland Pride Parade and Festival. The massive celebration includes food trucks, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and dance parties. Benson First Friday, while Proud all year, kicks it up a notch in June with public art, window displays, visual artists, and more Pride-infused fun. LGBTQ+ -owned and -friendly businesses are sprinkled throughout the city. The Max is one of the nation’s top gay nightclubs, and Flixx is a video lounge with cabaret shows on select nights. Queerniverse Burlesque, Omaha’s first Queer, Trans, Non-binary Person of Color-centric and queer-inclusive burlesque troupe, hosts various shows throughout the year, and you can follow along on Facebook.
