Brea Woodson of Advanced Dental Sleep Treatment Center calls sleep apnea “a serious condition that doesn’t get the attention it deserves.” Worse, many people dismiss the symptoms.

“Most people who have sleep apnea don’t know they have it. The signs and symptoms are so common that we have come to accept them as normal: snoring, not sleeping well, morning headaches,” she said. “We get used to it, but it’s not normal and the short-term and long-term effects are not good.”

Untreated sleep apnea can cause or exacerbate problems from depression to stroke risk, Woodson said, and symptoms like snoring and gasping can be disruptive to a household. Fortunately, Advanced Dental Sleep Treatment Center provides customized solutions.
