I hope everyone has an easy transition into school! If your club didn't have officer elections in April, or have vacant officer positions, please aim to have all elections finished no later than September 5th. This will make sure there isn't any rushing to fill these spots before our Regional Training Conference, or when COCI is due! Please let me know if you need any help. As you will see later in the newsletter, we are having a Regional Training Conference, more information is on page 5. The start of the year is the best time to decide which awards you will work to earn. Speaking of awards, I strongly encourage you all to participate in the Governor's Project, more information can be found on page 16. Your club advisors have also received an email discussing membership goals, club officers please make sure that you are working closely with them so we can reach these goals! If you ever need anything or have anything questions, don't be afraid to reach out! <3 1

If you missed the last DCM, you can find the minutes and slides in the D30 Groupme! DCM Stuff :D September 15 Discord 6:30pm It is important to attend DCMs, for they are one of the best forms of communications we have. All presidents, officers, and members are encouraged to attend! 3

DEADLINES :0 4 Officer Elections! Incase your club does not have the full board filled out, please aim to have these completed by September 5th. (Talk to me if you need any assistance.) After your board is elected: - Email me your board's names, phone numbers, and emails - Alert them about the RTC if they do not know already - Consider having a board bonding day!

Regional Training Confrence When: Saturday, September 17th from 10-2 Where: Westmoore High School Who: All club officers!! What: A Regional Training Conference, or RTC, is where Lieutenant Governors and Regionals teach officers how to preform their role. This year is themed "Around the World", so dress as worldly as you'd like. It is important that all officers within D30 attend, this is so we can preform the best we can as a district! However, if you cannot make it in person, there will also be a zoom link available. I can't wait to see y'all there! 5

6 Erika's Light House What is Erika's Light House: Erika’s Lighthouse provides educators, students, and parents with the tools to talk about mental health and encourages students to reach out if they are struggling. They offer a range of resources from presentations, conversation starters, and simple worksheets for you to share with your club. You can also give mental health presentations to local elementary schools or middle schools to serve younger students while promoting positive mental health practices. Today, Kiwanis members continue that culture of service by supporting the March of Dimes all year long by hosting service projects, raising funds and educating communities about the crisis of preterm birth.
