About Us We are Olivia, Nat and Eugene: three graphic designers who met at SAE Institute in Sydney while studying and decided to combine to make ONE Studio. We work closely with clients to create their design vision; whether it be logos, marketing material, album art, movie poster, animated videos or even gaming elements, we always put our best effort into creating the solutions perfectly suited to them. Our passion for design sets us aside from the rest, we love the feedback we receive from our clients and cannot wait to see where our designs may take them in the future.

Olivia “I first found my passion for creativity when I was really young I started with drawing and illustrating and knew that when I finished high school, I would definitely be furthering my passion of art by studying a creative degree, I did not know what I wanted that to be until the day I applied to SAE Institute to study a Bachelor of Graphic Design, and since I started my passion for design has grown immensely, I feel like I know what I am meant to be doing now. I would love to be working for a company and creating content and a cohesive brand for them. Establishing ONE Studio and working closer with Natt and Eugene has been so fun and exciting getting a feel of what it is like to work with clients. 8

T h e Lu m b e rj a c k A short horror film about a killer axeman, ‘The Lumberjack’ film team came to us asking for a poster to showcase the film, it was decided that the style of the poster, unlike the short film, would be illustrated to create some intrigue for the audience. The director had a clear idea of what the poster was going to look like and it was our job to provide that, the final product was even better than we expected as it looks suspenseful yet quirky.

Death and the Maiden Death and the maiden, a short film based around the concept of humanizing death. The short film’s key characteristic is that its centred around the musical piece Schubert’s D minor string quarter and needed a minimalistic logo and poster to show its audience the character of the short film and a hint into what the film features; the wings.

Latch Latch is a short thriller film centred around a psychologist, her deranged patient and her mother, this project needed just a logo, the logo font was chosen by the client, we decided to add some texture to make the logo look vintage and old, and when the logo is coloured red it also looks like blood, which works as it is a thriller film.

Pa r t i a l P ro d u c t i o n s Partial Productions are a film production company who needed a logo to put on any promotional material that they needed so we decided to have a 'partially' eaten dounut as the logo icon as per the clients suggestion and we think it works quite well as a basic logo.

B l u e Fox F i l m s Lo g o

A production group call Blue Fox Films came us with quite a small brief of only a logo, but this meant the logo had to represent the group completely, a literal blue fox was chosen and we decided to stylise the fox so that the logo represents a fun and playful group by using the geographic shapes to build the fox itself, the blues that were choses are bright and eye-catching so to stand out from the minimal tones in the work itself.

S c a r l e t Da n c e The client FyreFlea are a group of talented upcoming animators who are at the final Trimesters of their course. The objective was to create an art deco-inspired horror title logo. For this project, our client had a pretty strong idea on what they wanted the final logo to represent. The sharp lettering on the logo is to emphasise the horror genre of the animation. For the colour and borders a lot of inspiration came from several aspects from the art deco genre,in particular the interior of art deco buildings.

Sleepy Bear is an emerging local edible sweets brand. The project consisted of the beginning of their brand identity their logo which will be the face of the brand. The objective was to produce a logo that is fun and young, suggestive of Haribo Yogi Bear and his love of honey. As this brand is emerging, there were no previous design assets to work from, which meant there was a lot of room for experimentation. The solution was a tongue-in-cheek, nostalgic character in line with the current 90’s aesthetic resurgence in art and design. 20

The client Thorny Production is a local production company which are all film students who all have a passion for film. The objective of creating a modernise and scientific logo for one of Thorny productions assets in their film. For this project, inspiration came from a lot of logos which had a lot of whitespace within their logos. The main inspiration would definitely be the WWF logo which had a strong and recognisable logo. So the goal for this project was to create a logo that is strong and recognisable from a far but still adding the necessary scientific touch. 21

we started on creating content for the in-game such as icons, health bars, stance elements etc. The inspiration for a lot of the content was the game “Dark souls” developed by FromSoftware and published by Namco Bandai Games, as well as “Necropolis” developed by Harebrained Schemes and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

T h o r n y P ro d u c t i o n s Thorny Production is a local production team formed at SAE film students. The objective is to create an identity representing the great battle of filmmaking. The solution for this project, inspiration came from the name of the film group. The client had a clear vision of what they wanted for their final logo which made creating content a simple matter of bringing that vision to life. The use of calligraphy writing was to represent tradition, and gives the work a vintage feel. The reason for the hand-drawn rose was to give the work a DIY feel as they are young, emerging filmmakers.

G AG A ! Dingo Standard Production is a group of upcoming and passionate film students who are really talented at doing what they do and I highly recommend checking their film out. The objective was to create a title logo that was hand written and had a hand tag like style. The main inspiration for the tag like style was a lot of my own street-art style handwriting done with a large sharpie pen. I wanted to especially express the marks made by a well-used sharpie pen so scanning in the image and playing with the curves tool was all I needed.

Chronic care is a physiotherapy clinic specialising in exercise physiology services. This client’s project was to re-brand and design a range of marketing materials to help attract more attention to the clinic. Making the designs simple and professional was the main goal for Chronic Care. Using colours and simple lines I was able to achieve this vision for Chronic Care.

Lu c H o l l a n d Luc Holland is a game designer from SAE. This project involved creating a brand for the game designer. Our idea was to design something fun and simple for the brand. The logo was inspired by the blocks featured in the classic Tetris game. This design helps convey the creativity and fun aspect of Luc Holland’s brand as a game designer.
