Authentic (adjective)

au·then·tic | \ əˈthen-tik

According to MerriamWebster, authentic means being true to one's personality, spirit or character.

Olivet College has been authentic since its founding in 1844. Humble and dedicated faculty, coaches and staff support and encourage every student, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or socioeconomic background. Determined students from all walks of life change their futures by earning a college degree. As Olivetians, we do this with little fanfare but much satisfaction and pride.

As a graduate of Olivet College, you’ll leave with more than knowledge and a degree. You’ll leave with a moral compass and a sense of responsibility to contribute to bettering the world around you.

You’ll quickly realize Olivet College is where you are supported and valued for being you. It won’t be long before you gain the confidence to be more than you ever imagined. You’ll grow in courage, fortitude and perseverance and accept the challenge to be socially and individually responsible, standing up for what is right.

You’ll be ready to make your mark on the world at the end of your four years. You’ll be prepared to contribute in the ways that matter most because you’ll have the conscience to do good.

Be More. Do Good. It’s that simple.
