ole miss baseball radio network The excitement of Ole Miss Baseball can be heard on approximately 21 radio stations this season by tuning in to the Ole Miss Baseball Radio Network. All Ole Miss games can be heard with a standard air time David Kellum beginning 30 minutes prior to “The Voice of the Rebels” first pitch. The Ole Miss IMG Sports Network will bring Rebel baseball broadcasts into homes in Mississippi as well as in the nearby states of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Tennessee. On some of the more powerful AM stations, the broadcasts carry into Florida, Keith Kessinger Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri and Texas. In addition, every game can be heard worldwide over the internet at www. OleMissSports.com, while select games will be available on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. “The Voice of the Rebels,” David Kellum, returns for his 27th season handling the Ole Miss radio play-by-play call across the Rebels “big three” sports. The veteran broadcaster also serves as the play-by-play announcer for both Ole Miss football and men’s basketball. In 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010, 2011 and 2015, Kellum was honored as the Mississippi Sportscaster of the Year, as voted on by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters
SEC NETWORK+ With the addition of SEC Network+, Ole Miss Baseball can be watched more than ever and nationwide. This season, there will be approximately 28 live home games on SEC Network+. Rebel great David Dellucci, a 13-year MLB veteran who won a World Series title with the Arizona Diamondbacks, will serve as the analyst for every Ole Miss home game on SECN+. Splitting play-byplay duties will be Richard Cross and Will Kollmeyer, two veteran announcers that call multiple Ole Miss sporting events on SECN+ throughout the year.

Kellum’s first link with Ole Miss athletics was in 1978. As a 19-year-old freshman, he began broadcasting Rebel baseball and has handled the baseball play-byplay for the past 38 seasons. He has also been the play-by-play announcer for women’s basketball and a public address announcer at football and basketball games. Kellum hosts RebTalk, the weekly coach’s radio callin show for men’s basketball and football at Buffalo Wild Wings in Oxford. RebTalk will also feature three baseball shows this season, beginning Monday, Feb. 20. The son of two-sport All-American and former Rebel head coach Donnie Kessinger, Keith Kessinger joined Kellum as part of the broadcast team for the 2011 season and begins his sixth season with the broadcast team in 2016. A two-sport athlete in baseball and basketball, the younger Kessinger was an All-SEC selection on the diamond in 1988 before beginning an eight-year career in the professional ranks after being drafted by the Baltimore Orioles. He recorded his first MLB hit off the first pitch in his first MLB at-bat with the Cincinnati Reds. Kessinger spent 12 years in the coaching ranks, serving as an assistant at Ole Miss before taking the head coaching position at Arkansas State. He is married to the former Laura Neyman and the couple has two children, Anna-Kathryn and Chase.
