ABOUT CELEBRATES On Lok Celebrates brings together over 600 friends, partners, seniors, staff, and volunteers for a magical evening to celebrate and fundraise for On Lok’s services and programs benefitting seniors in our community. Our 2024 gala will include an opening networking reception featuring delicious local and interactive cuisine and live entertainment, an auction including unique packages and inspirational fund-a-need, and an unforgettable dessert and dance after party. We are thrilled to share that we will be hosting this year’s gala at Pier 27 in San Francisco. With gorgeous waterfront views of the Bay Bridge and two floors of contemporary space, Pier 27 will make an amazing home for On Lok Celebrates.

WHY SPONSOR? By sponsoring, you will have the opportunity to meet and network with other business leaders, non-profit organizations, and individuals who stand with us in our mission. We offer an array of sponsorship levels and packages that include marketing opportunities and unique gala benefits. Last year, our sponsors and guests raised over $550,000. That’s enough to: · Provide over 90,000 to-go meals for seniors in our communities. · Deliver an activity kit package to 10,375 homebound seniors twice a year. · Deliver a week of hot meals to 8,460 homebound seniors. · Enroll 2,075 seniors in a six-week chronic disease self-management workshop.


2024 GALA LINEUP Chef Martin Yan, Featured Chef

“Yan Can Cook, So Can You!” has always been the motto of Martin Yan, chef extraordinaire, James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award winner, and host of Yan Can Cook with On Lok, a live, virtual cooking series celebrating Chinese recipes and traditions.

Christian “Suzu” Suzuki-Orellana, Featured Mixologist

Christian “Suzu” Suzuki-Orellana is from the San Francisco Bay Area and has been a National Finalist for Bacardi Legacy, Bombay Sapphire’s Most Imaginative Bartender, and a Tales of the Cocktail Foundation’s Bartender of the Year nominee for 2022 and 2023. Most recently, Suzu was featured as a competing mixologist on the hit Netflix show, Drink Masters.

Mellanique “DJ Black” Robicheaux, DJ

Perfecting her craft in the Bay Area since 1991, legendary local DJ Black is a LGBT+ and civil rights activist and mentor to up-and-coming DJs. She has produced well-known Bay Area music events and opened for artists including Medusa, Erykah Badu, Meshell Ndegeocello, and Alanis Morissette. DJ Black recently served as the Community “Grand Marsha” for the San Francisco Pride Parade and received the LGBTQ+ Champion Recognition Award from the Urban League of Greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Big Blu Soul Revue, Live Band

Big Blu Soul Revue bring the soul of San Francisco to their music. With a passion for '60s and '70s soul, funk, and rhythm & blues, the band shares music influences ranging from soul legends like Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, and Marvin Gaye to funk and jazz artists like Sly & the Family Stone, The Meters, Herbie Hancock, and Grant Green. Franco Finn, Auctioneer

“Warriors Hype Man” Franco Finn is a Bay Area native who has served 20+ seasons as the In-Arena MC and TV personality for the Golden State Warriors. Franco works many special philanthropic events as an auctioneer, personality, and professional MC and can often be seen hosting local festivals and ethnic events throughout the year. He has a deep and personal connection to senior care.
