Stop the Healthcare Holdup

The ODA continues the fight to stop managed care Medicaid in Oklahoma. Approximately 15 ODA members participated in a press conference on Tuesday, April 20, at the State Capitol. The press conference was organized by the Stop the Healthcare Holdup Coalition, a broad group of healthcare providers and advocates committed to stopping the governor’s plan to privatize Oklahoma’s Medicaid program. Many healthcare providers representing the other Associations in the coalition were also in attendance. Immediately following the press conference, ODA members visited their legislators’ offices and disseminated the handout on pages 30 and 31. Please use the talking points on the handout and call and email your State Representative and Senator TODAY and ask them to stop the governor’s plan to turn Oklahoma’s Medicaid program over to private insurance companies.
