The Okanagan Rail Trail is a pedestrian and bicycleconnectionbetweencommunitiesofthe NorthandCentralOkanaganwithaccesstosome of the most scenic features of the valley. It is roughly50kmlong;themostlyflattrailtraverses stunninglakefrontshoreline,orchardsandfarm land,urbanizedareas,industriallandsandnatural areasflankedwithsteepslopesandrockwalls. Thetrailiscompactedgravel,aswellasasphalt insections,andeverytripofferstheopportunity to learn about the Syilx (Okanagan) people, their traditional territory and to enjoy the rich natural ecosystems of the lakes and creeks along the trail.

Over 24km of trail follows lakeshore, creeks anduniquenaturalenvironments.Thereare22 parks and 21 recreational and cultural points of interest within 500 metres of the trail, allowing

Respect all users • travel at a safe speed; Keep dogs on leash and under control. Respectprivateproperty•thetrailispublic, but often the land on either side of the trail is private property. Respect the natural environment • keep wildlife wild (leave it alone); clean up after your dog and yourself and use provided trash receptacles.
