Emergency First Aid and CPR A

CPR C/AED
Maintaining Certification in both Emergency Medical Responder and Occupational First Aid Level 3 can make you more employable as a Remote Industrial First Aid Attendant in B.C., and throughout Canada. This course also equips you with a more comprehensive medical “tool box,” increasing your confidence in emergency medical skills, and allowing you to provide greater patient care when encountering a serious (workplace) injury.

Do you thrive on excitement? Are you looking for a job that puts you at the centre of the action? Get the training you need to launch a career in paramedicine. Graduates find employment as a paramedics, or with fire stations, forestry crews, the oil and gas industry, ski patrol, and within the construction industry. This course includes CPR-HCP and meets the Paramedic Association of Canada (PAC) National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP) guidelines. If you have an interest in health care fields, the EMR course is an excellent foundation for future studies in nursing, occupational therapy, kinesiology and medicine.

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Recertification

Emergency Childcare First Aid and CPR B
Designed for anybody who cares for infants or children in the workplace or home, this course is an overview of First Aid and CPR techniques taught in an interactive environment. You will learn how to recognize, prevent and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for adults, children and babies, as well as how to deal with choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission. CPR C/AED - HCP Level
Core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and the use of bag mask), jaw thrust, pulse check, as well as rescue breathing for adult, child and baby and BVM. Designed for healthcare providers - EMS personnel, physicians, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists - who need a credentialed course. Also open to first responders who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. Students registered in the Standard First Aid program have the option to add HCP level to their certification for an additional fee of $32. Please request when registering for the Standard First Aid.
CPR C/AED Recertification
