MarketSafe is a food safety course developed to increase knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices for temporary market vendors, farm gate vendors, market managers, home kitchen, small scale food processors, and others who may make, bake or produce lower risk food products for public consumption outside of regulated food premises. Public Speaking

Through classroom lessons and participation, this course aims to provide you with tools to deliver a variety of effective presentations and speeches. Gain valuable speaking tips and insights to reduce anxiety and enable you to communicate better in your work and day-to-day life. The Practical Gardener This Distance Education course provides a basic understanding of cultural techniques that will enhance plant establishment, survival and health. It emphasizes practical approaches and solutions to gardening situations and problems encountered by both the novice gardener and grounds maintenance personnel. Recommended for students with no prior knowledge of plants or horticulture, and also for persons already in the horticulture industry who deal with ‘home garden’ issues on a regular basis, e.g., garden centre and grounds maintenance personnel. And it is ideal for homeowners who wish to take their gardening techniques to the next level. Students will receive a welcome email within three business days of registration with information on how to start the course. Traffic Control One-Day Requalification

As of Jan 1, 2019, the new one-day TCP Requalification course is required. All TCPs needing to renew their TCP certification are required to take the new TCP Requalification course. FITNESS PROFESSIONAL SERIES Fitness, health and wellness are important in today’s society, with people increasingly seeking help and advice from trained professionals. Prepare for a career in the fitness industry with courses in interdisciplinary studies in health and fitness. The program is focused on quality and ensuring students are employable once they have completed their studies. Each course consists of theory, as well as practical component. Certification: Fitness professionals have many organizations they can register and/or certify with, and should research the requirements of the organization they want to join. Personal Training This 63-hour course thoroughly covers applied kinesiology, biomechanics, advanced weight training techniques, health screening, fitness assessment, advanced program design, nutrition, business administration, marketing, legal liability and professional ethics.
