Positive Impact Rating
by oikos
The Positive Impact Rating (PIR) is a new rating conducted by students and for students. It is the first time that students around the world assess their business schools on how they perceive their positive impact in the world.
oikos International is a partner of the PIR and the OI President sits on the Supervisory Board to represent the student voice in strategic decisions.

The overall PIR score of the business school is used to position the school on one of five levels. The characterizations of the different levels refer to the developmental stage of the business school.
The collection of data is organized through student associations, who distribute a survey within their own school. They take responsibility for assessing the positive impact of their own schools and get access to the data collected through an online dashboard.
In the 2020 Edition of the PIR, 30 schools were rated, with oikos chapters running PIR survey campaigns in several of those schools across the world. The results were the launchpad for student led changes in several of those schools.
John and Autumn from the OI Management Team are the PIR Outreach and Marketing Manager and Student Engagement Coordinator, respectively. Their work on the planning, launch and running of the 2021 further cements oikos’ central role in the growth of the PIR.
