Ohio's Black cemeteries are poignant reminders of the persistence of racism and segregation even in death. Learn about the formation of African American cemeteries and racially restrictive land covenants that governed burials in some places through the 1950s. Cecelia McFadden and Nettie Ferguson of Franklin County Genealogical Society's African American Interest Group will share locations of some Black cemeteries and sections and resting places of famous Ohio African Americans.
