The Scalextric team would like to offer a very warm welcome to the Scalextric 2022 catalogue. Whether you be reading this from the traditional printed catalogue or digital version, there is guaranteed to be something here for all automotive, slot car racing and TV fans. Our Micro Scalextric racing system is a good starting point for the younger racer. For 2022 there are some amazing new sets including: new hyper cars and single seater racing cars. The new sets include a street chase themed set with Lamborghini vs Porsche cars, a Formula E racing set and an amazing double loop Batman vs Joker set. Both the Porsches and Lamborghini’s will also be available as solo cars so can be added to existing tracks. Upping the scale to 1:32, there is a whole plethora of new tools to be launched in 2022 as Scalextric continues to offer something for everyone. Whether it be single seaters, cars from the big screen, modern and classic: GT, Street and Touring cars. The new tools include: The Blues Brothers Dodge Monaco, Mini MKIV/1275 GT with motorsport and Mr Bean releases, Rover SD1, Lamborghini Countach, Shelby Cobra, Ford Mustang, Honda Civic Type R, Porsche 911 GT3 R, Williams FW11 and the latest Mercedes AMG GT3. Having been talking to fans and following clubs on social media we have seen the increase in people building their own scenic Scalextric race tracks in their homes. To enable you to further enhance these in home tracks, Scalextric will be releasing resin versions of the 1960’s classic Scalextric Race Control Tower and Grandstand buildings. For those starting out with Scalextric for the first time or returning to relive some of your coolest childhood memories we have many sets to choose from. Scalextric sets are ideal for this as you get everything you need in one box and have many sets to choose from depending on what you are looking for. Whether it be street chasing, racing motorsport cars or police pursuits there are sets at different sizes to choose from that are guaranteed to offer endless fun for the whole family. pitstops • In-App pitstop mini-games will need to be completed by the team in order to execute the perfect pitstop. • Additional pitstops will be required if you crash off the track too many times • Assemble your crew consisting of Tyre changers, Mechanics, Lollipop man and Fast charge crew. • Car is disabled on track until the pitstop team completes all tasks. • Live ‘on-screen’ updates during the pitstop keeps the team informed of progress and pitstop strategy.

FILM/TELEVISION CARS The Scalextric TV and Film series of cars continues to grow with not just new TV and Film franchises being added to the bill but also newly tooled cars. Including furniture!?! Over the last few years we have had cars with six wheels and vans with three but this time we have an iconic car where the driver is sitting on the roof! This year will see the release of Mr Bean’s Mini featuring Mr Bean’s armchair and Mr Bean himself on the roof of the Mini as seen in the famous nine episode of the TV series “Do-it-yourself Mr Bean”. To partner the Mr Bean Mini there will also be the blue Reliant Regal van that appears in the series, sadly for the van it always tended to fall victim to Mr Bean’s antics and ended up getting rolled.

Making its debut in 1986 at the hands of Brit Nigel Mansell and Brazilian Nelson Piquet the FW11 was powered by a Honda built 1.5 V6 Turbo engine. This was widely believed to be the most powerful powerplant on the grid of this period.

MY FIRST SCALEXTRIC

My First Scalextric is the ideal introduction to slot car racing for boys and girls aged three and upwards. The sets come with all you need to get started: easy to assemble figure of eight track, power supply, two hand controllers and two cars. My First Scalextric is available in two versions: mains powered, and battery powered, please note the sets do not come with batteries. The set has a simple to follow colour coded system where the cars are red or yellow, the hand controllers match the car colour and the track is printed with matching chevrons which not only depict what car goes on each track but also running direct. Each car has strong magnets which means it sticks to the track on curves and the hand controllers have speed adjusters so parents can limit the speed if needed.

Micro Scalextric is the same 1:64 scale track system as My First and is fully compatible, making it an ideal evolvement from My First Scalextric. The main difference between My First Scalextric and Micro Scalextric sets are the colour of the track, the amount of track in each set and Micro Scalextric sets have additional feature track pieces. This offers a much broader play pattern and requires more skill. Action track pieces include loop-the-loop, half pipe, humpback bridge and the all new ejector lap counter that not only counts laps but also ejects the losing car off the track. Each set comes with a series of layout options, but you can also add further track with our accessory packs. There are also additional cars to collect.
