by oetaok
Whether or not March comes in as a lion or a lamb, OETA is dropping a lion’s share of fresh programs this Women’s History Month. This month in the performing arts, be ready to turn your eyes and tune your ears. A highly anticipated new staged concert of Les Miserables airs Sunday, March 5 at 11:30 a.m. For fans of the movie The Hours, Great Performances has fashioned it into a modern opera with powerful, melodious female leads, at 9 p.m. on Friday, March 17. And American Masters: In the Making explores the works of several emerging musicians, poets and artists, and airs Friday, March 24 at 9 p.m.
Finally, join us for OETA’s own Gallery America Special for its inside look at Oklahoma’s art scene Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m. As spring approaches, so too do the season premieres of our period dramas Call the Midwife, Sanditon, and Marie Antoinette, featuring complex stories of female empowerment and success, beginning Sunday, March 19 at 7 p.m. Also this spring, all of us Antiques Roadshow fans will want to check out Celebrity Antiques Road Trip beginning Saturday, March 18 at 3 p.m., followed by more Antiques Roadshow.
We’d also like to take a moment to thank those of you who have donated your used or inoperable vehicles to OETA through our CARS program. When you donate a vehicle, the funds for it go to continuing our local programs like the Oklahoma News Report, Gallery America, and Back in Time.
If you have a vehicle you would like to donate, please reach out to us!
