THE SEARCH

What I do not know and cannot see, Is what I’m supposed to believe, God supposedly in every facet of life,
Yet with no drop to know there is no certainty,
The liege should always be honored,
And us, devoted, as if something’s to be owed,
Yet owe what is the question, Should I owe for having it shoved into my life, Being told both God and Allah are omnipotent, With everything to give and nothing to gain,
More knowledge leads to more questions, Gut feelings stir against such givens,
I can’t be the only one who sees, Or does the ever-longing search render me blind.
