Cubin The mountaneers’ cabin is located at the very top of the mountain to provide the best view and best experience. The design focused mainly on minimizing the space, but still acommodate 12 people safely. On a 25m2 with a loft for beds we created a space for living, sleeping, cooking, eating, bathing and socializing. Using a local company Egoin (to lower the impact on enviroment), we build a cube form ca5x5x5m by assembling CLT wood structural panels. Not only do we use the small windows to ‘frame’ the views, but also to minimize the thermal impact. For the same reason the north facade we leave blind. Considering the winds from north, the filtered dry savage outcome was located on the northeast.

Cabin is selfsufficent and 100% sustainable. All the materials used are recycliable, and recycled which makes the building close to 0 waste.
As a selfsufficent building, collecting 28330l of rainwater a year, we can provide 6,47l of water a day for each visitor [considering full state everyday, average 12 rainy days/mo]
