SPRING 2025

Coastal village welcomes visitors with art, wine and natural splendor See page 4
The ocean in spring is powerful and hypnotic — glassy calm one day and churning swells the next. For some, simply pondering this ever-changing vista is entertainment enough to fill every second of their time at the coast.
Others require a little more variety, which the coastal village of Yachats can offer in spades, with an arts and crafts fair, a sip-andstroll event and a community beach cleanup all planned for this spring. See page 4 for the full story.
Further north in Lincoln city, beachgoers can pair their ocean gazing with a little float hunting, as the Finders Keepers program continues its 25th anniversary celebration. This ever-popular program sees stealthy volunteers hide handcrafted glass floats on the beach every day that weather allows. Find it and it’s yours to keep as a souvenir of your time at the coast.
And if your search proves fruitless, you can always console yourself with a visit to Beachcrest Brewing in Gleneden Beach for a pint of the newest brew — Finders Keepers IPA.

The Central Coast village of Yachats will emerge into full bloom this spring, with an arts and crafts fair, a sipand-stroll event, and a chance to help keep the coast beautiful with a community beach cleanup.
Artisans from all over the Pacific Northwest will descend on the picturesque town on March 22 and 23 for the Yachats Arts & Crafts Fair, offering the chance to discover one-of-a-kind treasures while supporting local and regional artists.
“This cherished event brings together talented artists and vendors from Yachats, the Oregon Coast, and across the Pacific Northwest, showcasing a stunning array of handmade arts, crafts, and unique goods,” said Yachats Chamber Director Nichole Lippincott. “A highlight of the spring season, the Yachats Arts & Crafts Fair has become a beloved tradition for many years, drawing visitors and locals alike to celebrate creativity and community.”
The fair will run from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, March 22, and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday, March 23, at the Yachats Commons, located at 441 Hwy. 101. As an added attraction, the Friends of Yachats Public Library will be holding their annual book sale on the same weekend, downstairs at the Commons.
And wine lovers should mark their calendars for Sip & Stroll Yachats, which returns on Saturday, April 19, inviting visitors and locals to enjoy a delightful afternoon of wine tasting, shopping and exploration.
This popular event will feature wineries stationed throughout town at participating businesses, offering a unique opportunity to sip, stroll and discover Yachats’ charming shops and eateries. Guests will start their journey at the Commons Pavilion, where
they receive an event map detailing all the wine stops. A shuttle service will run continuously, ensuring easy travel between locations.
And a wine courier service will allow guests to keep their hands free for browsing. The service allows guests who buy wine to tag it with their registration number so the bottles can be transported to the Commons Pavilion for pickup after they are done tasting.
Sip & Stroll guests can also get in the running for an exclusive weekend getaway in Yachats with the Stamp & Win giveaway. Those who visit every wine stop, collect a stamp at each location, and return their completed map to the Commons Pavilion will be entered into the prize draw,
Early Bird Tickets are available through April 5 for $25, including event admission, five wine sample tickets, a commemorative wine glass and an event map.
After April 5, general admission tickets are available for $30.
And for those who stay for the full weekend, the Sunday, April 20, Beach Clean-Up offers the chance to give back to the beautiful coastline and help keep Yachats’ beaches pristine.
The community event, sponsored by Dahl Disposal and SOLVE, runs from 10 am to 1 pm.
Volunteers will meet at the State Park Natural Site on south side of the bridge. Look for SOLVE signs and wooden State Park sign on Yachats Ocean Road.
