Mission Statement “To provide chefs with quality local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients in a knowledgeable, reliable and simple manner” About us Ochil Foods is a third generation family foodservice business, supplying quality Scottish and International produce to pubs, restaurants and hotels throughout Scotland. History The Dixon Family started supplying produce to local hotels, three generations ago, from our family farm near Dunning in 1953. 1953 – Andrew Dixon launched his own “Balgour Brand” Turkeys, which he sold to, local hotels, Gleneagles and The Crieff Hydro, both are still customers today. 1980 – Neil and Annie Dixon take over the farm. 1988 – East Mill Trout Farm is purchased and a refocus on foodservice is launched. 2005 – Move to new premise at Hall Farm, Aberuthven to concentrate purely on Quality Foodservice. 2009 – Jeremy Dixon, third Generation, joins and, in response to public demand, realigns the business around local and seasonal produce. He also embraces technology on an operational level and through the web and social media. 2011 – 65% of Ochil Foods Turnover is from Scottish Produce.


What we do We source produce for, and share information with, Scottish Chefs and Catering Establishments. We believe that the more knowledge we pass on to our customers, the more informed menu choices they can make. We work very closely with purchasing departments/chefs to help them develop menus around seasonality, based around this simple formula:
