Winners receive biggest prize Tuna and Tiaras ever awarded
Continued from Page 59 was awarded to the Pumpin’ Hard team, for their fish that collectively weighed a total of 191 pounds. The group was presented $30,142.
Second and third place for stringers was a tie between the Playmate, with team Reel Hookers, who won $6,676, and the boat Chain Reaction, with a team called Daddy Brad’s Hookers, who were presented $10,161.
Both crews strung up 183 pounds of tuna.
The tied boats received different amounts of money because of participation in added entry level calcuttas.
Entries in the photo contest are going up on the Tuna and Tiaras Facebook page for one week, and then the winners will be selected.
Registration was adorned by a variety of vendors and was such an occasion that visitors even gave the event its own nick-name.
“It actually officially has been named ‘the village.’ A few people keep talking about how great the village looked,” Taylor said.
