ilm director Temur Babulani, has through his movies, introduced a new mentality to the society, with several awards and prizes trailing his creative works. Most of his family years have been associated with France, namely Paris. In this interview, we sat to discuss with the brilliant Film Director as he shared insights into what forms the core of his art. Interestingly, we started the interview on a personal note by asking:

Why Paris? Tell us about France. Well, what do I have to say? Do you remember what Ilia Chavchavadze said about French people? He described it as “The Amazing Nation.” I must say for us, for my generation of Georgians, France was perceived as a dream country with its history and thought inclinations. I loved French literature and history. I had read all the books of French Literature that have been translated, all the movies I had seen. I was a big fan of Napoleon and even now, I am not indifferent (laughs). Generally, France is considered to be the homeland of all humane ideas, either way or so.
