Here at Out & About with Kids, we plan to continue to bring you great stories as we ride out the pandemic. And you will find plenty in this issue. Given recent events, our story about the best things to do with kids in Aussie cities seems even more fitting than when we’d planned it, as staycations are still the safest travel option. We are also extremely excited to introduce our new dad writer, Ben Groundwater, this issue. Ben is a multi-award-winning travel writer and host of the fantastic Flight of Fancy podcast, which is my go-to when my son is sleeping during road trips. His story about his first getaway as a family of four in Victoria’s High Country literally made me LOL. We were also super excited to recruit LA-based Aussie chef Curtis Stone as our celebrity interview this issue. What a top bloke! It’s also great to give Kangaroo Island a bit of post-bushfire love with Meg Law’s story (and amazing pic!) this issue, and a deep dive interview of the experts about engaging children in outdoor play
