UPDATES PRESIDENT’S CORNER | EDITOR’S NOTE

By the time this is published, it’ll have been 8 months since quarantine began. Nearly 250 days. We’re closer to March 13 of 2021, the anniversary of quarantine, than to this year’s summer solstice in JUNE. That really just blows me away, not only because we never anticipated to have to wait this long to resume volunteering, but also because our organization has adapted so much on all levels since then!

Now more than ever, general meetings have been the best way for us to connect as Key Clubbers. Technically speaking, not much has changed in the content of general meetings. In regular years, updates would be given, and the entire room would contain a chill vibe, partly thanks to Mrs. Vosskuhler’s laidback attitude. Now, I always try to introduce some excitement in meetings. Whether it’s through my eccentric style of presenting or through my splendid educational Kahoot topics, I hope that general meetings provide you all with at least some compensation for this year’s boredom.

Hi suns! I don’t have much to say at the moment. Although, make sure to take care of yourself well and take breaks when needed. As quarter 3 comes to an end, it continues to surprise me that we thought we were only going to have one or two virtual DCMs… But even then, I highly encourage you to go to that virtual dcm or support the ptp fundraisers. The bond that our division and club still holds throughout the pandemic really surprises me at times, but I value it a whole lot. It makes me very happy eheh :) Thank you so much for all you do OAKC <3 Okay, if you found that cringey then just pretend that you never read that. this newsletter just doesn’t exist, and I’ll see you in the next newsletter!
