ith more than 180 items on its menu, the options are numerous at 123 Wok. The restaurant, which first opened in Singapore in 1994, moved to Maui in 2004. Since then, the restaurant has 1 moved again, opening its current location on McCully Street just four months ago. Even though 123 Wok recently opened, manager Wendy Li has wasted no time in creating a diverse menu for her customers … a factor that contributed to choosing the eatery’s name. “We serve Chinese food, Hawaiian local flavor and a hot pot option — 1, 2, 3,” Li explains. “(We also chose this

name because) our first restaurant was in Singapore, the second one was on Maui and the third one is here on Oahu.” Li also emphasizes that 123 Wok serves healthy cuisine, using only fresh ingredients in their products. “We are known for our Chinese healthy cuisine,” she says proudly.

“There is no MSG in our products.” When it comes to appetizers, a popular choice is the Crab Rangoon ($6.25), six pieces of deep-friend won ton filled with crab meat and cream cheese. In terms of entrees, some of the most popular include General Tso’s Chicken ($8.95), Hong Kong Steak ($12.95), Shrimp and Asparagus ($11) and
