MPI offers a variety of summer classes (enrichment & credit) for all ages, including swimming for Tiny Tots (ages 3-5), and older students (6+), as well as tennis programs for ages 5+ of all skill levels. In addition to math, ESL, language arts, science, Thinking Strategies (SAT/ ACT prep), social studies and language courses, students can also sign up for art, drama and technology courses: • “LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! Moviemakingâ€? (4 to 5). Students will collaborate on storyboards to create and edit videos; to effectively use the camera in planning angles, lighting and backgrounds. • “Design & Publish Your Own Photography Bookâ€? (6 to 8) will delve into
the exciting world of custom-printed books, digital photography, book design and desktop publishing. • “Theatre Campâ€? (4 to 8) will introduce students to performance techniques and culminates with a summer performance. • “Sight & Insight: Field to Studio Photographyâ€? (10 to 12) is an intensive photography course that will focus on content, form, craft, theory and analysis. Field trips will provide valuable experience. • “Bug Scienceâ€? (5 to 7) offers hands-on laboratory exercises —using insects as models— to learn a broad range of biological, ecological, and environmental topics. For information: www.midpac.edu.
