On September 30th, at 6 PM, we held our monthly divisional meeting. Remarkably, there were around 100 members who joined; a new record! As per the standard, we waited for everyone to join the zoom meeting before getting situated and stating our pledge. Everyone, under our Lieutenant Governor’s guidance, unmuted to announce the Key Club pledge. Afterwards we all partook in a quick icebreaker. Members and officers were encouraged to share out how their year was going so far, in light of the transition to in person learning. Many of us shared aloud as well as through the chat as opinions were exchanged, lightening the otherwise serious atmosphere. Next, we went over the District Wide fall conference. It is set to take place on November 20th, and all members were incentivized to attend. The events committee deadline was also extended to increase the number of applications. Afterwards we reviewed the divisional events, which includes Charity Miles, 7 Cups, Love Letters for Literacy, Tutor Nirvana, Key Buddies. the CPR Training Event and Project Support the Local. All sign up forms and credit forms were administered through the chat feed and also available on the Divisional Agenda. Once the divisional events were recapped, important forms such as Member Monday Nominations, mailing list applications and Newsletter submissions were given, with all the forms provided in the chat. After the forms, our September Newsletter was issued and promptly linked in the chat. Immediately afterwards, all the club presidents gave insight on their month and presented important updates on their club as well as any past or planned events. As the end of the divisional drew near, all important links and updates were quickly reviewed, followed by the the usual “Mr. Gioia's Minute, ” where he provided his words of encouragement and gave us a short but profound speech. Finally, the divisional came to a close and we all said our bittersweet goodbyes in anticipation of the new month ahead of us!
