I am an EE undergraduate student with knowledge of DSP, digital and analog circuit design. Besides, I am also interested in 3D design and architecture. I am experienced in instrument prototyping in NTHU YRG Lab when being a project student.w

Structure System

The structure has better with a 90-degree factor to make the 9-square feature.

Constructive Feature

Appearence

The hollow part is to make it more detailed and to have a light and shadow effect.

The more flexible rule, the more possibilities we can construct.

We can construct a unit-square structure of the 9-square system as the right-hand side is shown.

The most simple structure is composed of 3 crystals.

The flexibility of Crystal can be solved by magnetive connection.

We can consturct not only 90-degree structure but also other angle.

That is FLEXIBILITY

40 Faces Polyhedron

The Dimond

The idea came from the ripple in the ocean.

The reflection shape of the ocean ripple is a polygon.

The contour of the ripple can be shaped by overlapping a lot of pentagons, hexagon, or octagons.

We can simplify the ripple into a single-unit pattern constructed by overlapping four polygons.

We connect given nodes to make a triangle shield.

We can pick up pentagons, hexagon, or octagon as a base.

The middle Diamond is based on the octagon.

The others are the hexagon.

I choose the octagon due to its better shape and the face of more than 40.

Tetrahedral geometry is simple, but the object with 40 surfaces is complex.

We can decompose the object into smaller and low dimension structures.

The Diamond can be decomposed into six repeatedly small objects.

The meanings of the area of Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow are the depth and the number.

Rule:

If the area is smaller than 3 units, the number of the box is more than 2.

And, the depth of the box is same as longest side

Red : 4x4 units

Blue : 3x4 units

Black : 1x2 units

Yellow: 1x2 uints

2x3 units

White : Nothing

The purpose of the design is to reflect the current time due to the different angles of the sunshine.

Observation and Proposal

Ultra-Big Advertisement Billboard

In Taiwan, we can see a lot of billboards in front of buildings. They are all different, such as the color, the pattern, the width or the height, etc.

Every store owns its billboard and also overlaps with the others' billboards beside themselves.

So all information is messed up and not clear.

We make the surface of the billboard be curved so that the light can reflect to the more direction.
