I’m razor focused mentally, so I like to take 20 minute breaks and completely zone out and binge watch whatever TV show I’m into at the time. 07 YOU HAVE JUST BEEN CHOSEN TO ENTER THUNDERDOME 2016. WHO IS IN YOUR SQUAD? Hmmmm… I’ve got a certain group together that you might see very soon.

CHORDS

01 WHAT IS YOUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE SONG? That’s so hard because I like so many styles of music and have favorites in many different categories. It depends on my mood. "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin is so raw and has the most epic build. I also love all of the levels in the lyrics.

02 WHAT WAS YOUR BEST SUBJECT IN SCHOOL? My mother has a masters degree in speech therapy, so English was a pretty natural subject for me. Being able to convey ideas through language and syntax is something I learned from my mom, and it’s amazing to me how it laid the groundwork for how I communicate now through lyrics in music. I don’t always use proper grammar or conjugation, but the expression of ideas through words in music is so interesting to me as an artist. 03 IF YOU WEREN’T A SINGER, WHAT PROFESSION WOULD YOU CHOOSE? Hmmm, I don’t really

know. I’ve been a performer since I was five years old, so I think it was just meant to be. Thank God singing worked out! 04 IF YOU COULD MEET ANY PERSON THROUGHOUT HISTORY, WHO WOULD YOU WANT TO MEET MOST? There are so many people to choose from, I wouldn’t know where to begin. Musically, I would have loved to meet Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Billie Holiday—the list could go on and on. Historically, there are so many more people! 05 WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN COSTUME YOU’VE EVER WORN? That’s easy. My last one where I was Choupette, Karl Lagerfeld’s very famous cat. She’s become quite the fashion icon in her own right, and I never mind purring a little. 06 WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS THE WEIRDEST THING ABOUT YOUR REGULAR ROUTINE? I don’t know how weird this is but when I’m working,

09 WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SONG ON THE NEW ALBUM? That’s hard to say as they are like my babies. Some are deeply emotional, yet some are just there to have a little fun. I love them all! 10 IF YOU COULD HAVE A DUET WITH ONE ARTIST LIVING OR DEAD WHO WOULD IT BE? At the moment, all I can think of is Prince. He was a true artist who gave his heart and soul with everything he did.

FERGIE, STACY ANN, THE DUTCHESS. NO MATTER WHAT NAME SHE GOES BY, THIS GRAMMY-WINNING ARTIST IS FIERCE. BUT SINCE WE KNOW THAT ALREADY, WE SAT DOWN WITH THE L.A. LOVER HERSELF TO ASK HER MORE ABOUT HER LIFE, HER QUIRKS, AND HER NEW ALBUM, DOUBLE DUTCHESS.

08 TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR NEW ALBUM. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO COME OUT WITH NEW MATERIAL? My first album was the amalgamation of around seven years of ideas that I wanted to share through music. With me, the process is about getting everything to where I feel great about it and for it to be very true to me. SO much has changed in my life since my last solo album, and with two albums and touring all over the world with the Black Eyed Peas, plus getting married, having a family, etc., this new album is the outcome of another nine years of experiences and ideas. I’m so blessed to have a place to express myself autobiographically, yet also have fun and playyyy!
