The artist explores our relationship to money, power, and fragility through a selection of symbols and pushes them forward through props and rephotography. Using themes of luxury and decadence as a starting point, Geana displays such objects as a one-hundred dollar bill, fake currency, fake diamonds, a skull, a gold gun, shackles, a pitchfork, and a dildo. These objects, created by the artist, are paired with a selection of images of nubile unclad men. FRONT RUNNERS NEW YORK LGBT PRIDE RUN JUNE 27, 8:30 A.M. CENTRAL PARK, EAST DRIVE 102ND ST. TRANSVERSE The Front Runners New York LGBT Pride Run is a highlight of the region’s road racing calendar, bringing together 5,000 runners and thousands of fans from across the country for this 5-mile race in Central Park. This year will mark the 34th running of this official NYC Pride weekend event, which is organized in collaboration with New York Road Runners. The Pride Run is also an official qualifier for the TCS New York City Marathon and an NYRR Club Points Race. Whether you’re a top racer or a novice, the Pride Run delivers a unique experience from the colorful outfits and cheering crowds at the start to the rainbow popsicles at the finish line. frny.org/pride-run
