In addition to having linenless tables in our meeting spaces, water stations to minimize plastic bottle waste, biodegradable marker refills, and eco-friendly flipcharts, our culinary team focuses on sourcing food and beverage offerings that are grown organically and locally. Sometimes, the smallest changes can have the most dramatic effects on a sustainable future for our planet. For instance, by using all ENERGY STAR certified audio/visual (AV) equipment, we’re able to save energy and protect the climate by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

We’ve gone to great lengths to provide you with an eco-friendly environment when staying at the New York Marriott Marquis. Our hotel is smoke-free, each room contains recycling bins with information about our recycling program, and we have implemented motion sensor and timed light switches in the closets.

One of the most important environmental-friendly practices we’ve implemented has been the utilization of chemicals from Ecolab Company. It starts with sourcing from dedicated farmers who share our sustainability values and refrain from using harmful chemicals and pesticides. Farmers who have taken the “Local Pledge” for sustainability and protection of the environment. Further, all waste is decomposed using ORCA, recycling with zero waste.
