ITINERARIES 10 DAYS, 9 NIGHTS - KATAVI, MAHALE & GOMBE
3 DAYS, 2 NIGHTS - SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Day 1: Depart by Air to Katavi National Park START/From Arusha or Dar Es Salaam, by shared charter plane (two-hours), fly to Katavi National Park. Afternoon game drive and late afternoon/evening walking safari. Dinner and overnight at Katavi Safari Camp. Day 2: Walking Safaris & Game Drives in Katavi After breakfast, Morning walking safari to explore the Katavi floodplain. Late morning break for picnic brunch. Afternoon game drive to Katavi s inner side. Dinner and overnight at Katavi Safari Camp. Day 3: Walking Safaris & Game Drives in Katavi After breakfast, spend another day exploring the Katavi floodplain. Afternoon game drives to Katavi s inner side. Dinner and overnight at Katavi Safari Camp. Day 4: Depart for the Mahale Mountains After breakfast; take shared chartered flight (one-hour) to the Mahale Mountains. Transfer in boat along Lake Tanganyika. Afternoon foot-walking safari in the Mahale Mountains Dinner and overnight at Nkungwe Beach Lodge Day 5 & 6: Two Full Days in the Mahale Mountains Spend two-full days of bird-watching and chimpanzee trekking in Mahale Mountains. Picnic lunches in the mountain forest Afternoon walking safaris in the mountains followed by late afternoon leisure time along the beach on Lake Tanganyika. Dinner and overnight at Nkungwe Beach Lodge Day 7: Depart Mahale for Kigoma Town After breakfast depart for Kigoma by boat. Arrive in Kigoma Town in time for lunch. Afternoon and late afternoon of leisure Dinner and overnight at Kigoma Hill Top Hotel Day 8: Depart Kigoma Town for the Gombe Stream After breakfast; depart for the Gombe Stream by boat along Lake Tanganyika. After arrival, proceed with game viewing/chimpanzee trekking and climb the Kakombe waterfalls. Overnight at Gombe Forest Lodge Day 9: A Full Day of Game Viewing & Chimpanzee Trekking After breakfast, go game viewing, bird-watching, chimpanzee trekking and climb to Jane s peak in Gombe Stream National Park. Overnight at Gombe Forest Lodge Day 10: Depart Gombe Stream for Kigoma then to Dar es Salaam After breakfast, return by boat then 4WD to Kigoma Town. Lunch at Kigoma Hill Top Hotel. Transfer to the airport for 18:00 scheduled flight to Dar es Salaam. Arrive in Dar es Salaam for overnight or for your connecting flight.
Day 1: Pick up from Dar es Salaam and arrive for lunch, or if arriving late then just light refreshments. Nestled within woodland along the banks of the great Rufiji River lies Selous River Camp, an enchanting safari camp tucked into the untamed African bush adjacent to the vast, unfenced Selous Game Reserve. Sunset cruise on our comfortable river boat, looking at hippos, crocodiles and birds, and enjoying the spectacular sunset over this enormous river; o/n Selous River Camp (L, D) Day 2: Early breakfast at 06.00 and then a 30 minute drive to the Selous Game Reserve. All day game drive in a specially modified safari vehicle with a professional guide, in which you should see and learn much about a large number of animals, including all the great favorites ‒ lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and all the other major species including the now rare African hunting dog. Great variety of bird species. Wonderful scenery, with varied topography: wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with long views to far-off mountains. Packed lunch and time to rest. Your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch animals coming to drink a place with a clear view all round so that no predator can creep up unseen! Back to the lodge by 6.30 for sunset and dinner when you re ready o/n Selous River Camp (B, L, D) Day 3: Up early for a walk through the bush and along the riverbank to learn about the local environment. Back after the walk for breakfast, and then departure for Dar Es Salaam (B)
3 DAYS, 2 NIGHTS - RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
NOTE: All safari packages will include: all accommodations and meals as per itinerary, all park fees, boat safaris, mineral water 1.5L per person per day, walking safaris, all wildlife reserve entry fees, and flight fees to the parks, all airport transfers and wildlife drives by vehicle 4x4 pop-up roofs
Day 1: Depart Dar with Coastal Aviation depart 08:30 am, on arrival Meet & Greet transfers to Lodge for lunch the afternoon short game drive. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge Overlooking the great Ruaha River, the lodge blends into its natural surroundings to enable visitors to feel themselves part of the wild. Accommodation bandas , build from local stone and thatch, provide the perfect setting in which to relax between bush excursions, and watch wild animals as they descend from the hills to quench their thirst and nibble on the green grass. Day 2: After breakfast, Full Day game drive in Ruaha. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge Day 3: After breakfast, relax at the lodge or a very short game drive to catch flight departing Ruaha at 1145 Hrs.
5 DAYS, 4 NIGHTS - RUAHA & MIKUMI Day 1: Depart from your Dar-es Salaam hotel to Iringa with picnic lunch boxes. You will have dinner and overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge (FB) Day 2: After having breakfast you will drive to Ruaha National Park and have lunch at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge. In the afternoon you will have a game drive in the park and late in the afternoon back to the lodge for dinner and overnight (FB) Day 3: After breakfast a full day game drive at Ruaha National Park with picnic lunch until late in the afternoon. Back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight (FB) Day 4: Early in the Morning after breakfast you will leave for Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch boxes. Afternoon game drive; o/n Mikumi Wildlife Camp (FB) Day 5: Early in the Morning after having breakfast you will have a morning game viewing until in the afternoon for lunch at the Mikumi Wildlife Camp. Preparation for the transfer back to Dar -es Salaam
