We may live in the northernmost state, but that doesn't mean we can't appreciate the finer things that come from our friends down south – hushpuppies, fried catfish and chitlins. However, when it comes to sweet tea, Alaska's own Lady Gray Medibles @ladygraymedibles is not ready to concede the title for best in show. Known predominantly for their top of the line edible products, Lady Gray Medibles pivoted in early March to create their very first beverage, High Tea. Crafted with all-natural ingredients, including organic black tea and organic sugar, High Tea's flavor is out of this world. Its texture is so smooth, it was hard to stop gulping when we reached the 10mg dosage mark. We also didn't pick up any hints of skunky aftertaste or cottonmouth. Taste aside, what makes High Tea a great product is the quick and potent onset. Unlike other edibles on the market, High Tea utilizes nano-emulsion – allowing the product's Cannabis ingredients to become smaller, water-soluble and easier to absorb. Essentially, cannabinoids formulated with a nano-emulsifier hit your saliva and stomach juices, and spontaneously emulsify into millions of microscopic bubbles of emulsion droplets that increase the speed of THC absorption into your system. The result is a high that hits you within minutes instead of hours. The trade-off to the quick absorption rate is that rather than a slowly creeping body high, we were left with a potent cerebral dose that found us in a bit of a fog. The high was not at all unpleasant, and was a welcome surprise after a stressful workday. But if you're someone who prefers a more gradual edible experience, High Tea might not be your cup of tea.
